
When Lori Blaker joined the firm founded by her father in 1976, it was just the
two of them — and her mother — creating technical training manuals for technicians in the auto industry. More than 30
years later, Blaker serves as president and
CEO of Technical Training Inc., whose
services include resourcing quality contract personnel and outsourcing services,
ISD training system design and management, e-learning development, hosting and
delivery, and brand protection. She has
also redefined “training services,” expanding from enabling learning through the
Internet to creating company-profiled
LMS learning and Web site feeds, to classroom education and soft skill training for
professionals from car dealerships to
client service staff at banks and hotels.
From her original location, she has grown
her operation to 715 employees with fully
owned operations in China, Taiwan, Japan,
Mexico, Thailand, Brazil, Chile and
Venezuela. Today, these operations have
matured to handle business outside the automotive sector and are catering to the financial and telecommunications industries.
To keep her company growing, Blaker has
