Stability ranks No. 1

Signing bonuses and company cars may have won over last year’s job seekers, but today’s applicants are more interested in a firm’s staying power.

In a survey conducted by Robert Half International Inc., 28 percent of chief financial officers polled said a prospective employer’s stability is the most important consideration for candidates evaluating employment offers.

Salary came in second, with 23 percent of the response, followed by career advancement opportunities (21 percent) and work environment/corporate culture (20 percent).
