The board of trustees of The New Detroit Science Center appointed Kevin F. Prihod president and CEO.
Prihod oversees all aspects of the Science Center, including science content, programs, exhibits and theatres, operations, fund-raising and membership, marketing and public relations, finance and administration.
Prihod is a former trustee of the Science Center and has served as chief science officer since 2004.
“We are fortunate that Kevin Prihod is ready and able to take the lead at the Science Center and to do so with a deep passion for science, engineering and technology,” says Chairman Francois J. Castaing. “Shawn [Kahle, outgoing CEO] and Kevin have worked closely for the past few years to ensure the Science Center helps children to learn more about science today and prepare for careers of tomorrow. This important work will continue as we move forward.”
Prior to becoming CSO in 2004, Prihod was a consultant and executive companies including INCAT, Constellation Brands Inc., Durakon Industries and Lincoln Brass Works Inc. Previously, he was a consultant with Coopers & Lybrand and an industrial engineer with General Motors.
Prihod is involved with the advisory board of the Institute for Management and Engineering at Case Western Reserve University; the Space, Engineering, Mathematics and Aerospace program at Wayne State University; the Society of Manufacturing Engineers; and American Production and Inventory Control Society.
Prihod earned an MBA in operations research from Case Western Reserve University and his bachelor of arts degree in sociology from Brown University.
CARE CHOICES
Care Choices has added new experts to its medical affairs and sales staffs.
Timothy P. Sullivan has joined Care Choices as director of medical informatics and performance metrics. Sullivan has more than 10 years of management and consulting experience. He comes from Medstat in Ann Arbor.
He earned a master’s degree in statistics from Cleveland State University and is a decorated U.S. Marine.
Michael Lazich joined the Care Choices sales team as an account manager for jumbo employer groups. He joins Care Choices from Johnson Controls, where he was responsible for sales and service.
TECHTEAM GLOBAL INC.
Dennis J. Kelly Jr. was named president of TechTeam Government Solutions Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of TechTeam Global Inc.
Kelly comes to TechTeam Global from Anteon Corp., where he worked in a variety of corporate positions.
He earned a bachelor of science degree from Roger Williams University and an MBA from the University of Rhode Island. He is also a veteran of the U.S. Navy.
HANTZ FINANCIAL SERVICES INC.
Kathryn Delano and Elizabeth Meagher have been named to the list of “America’s Best Financial Planners” by the Consumers’ Research Council of America.
Delano and Meagher are financial planners for Hantz Financial Services Inc., a subsidiary of the Hantz Group.
Meagher is vice president of retirement services. She has more than 15 years of experience in the financial services industry.
Delano is vice president of Hantz Benefits Services. She has 10 years of experience in the financial services industry.
METALDYNE
Metaldyne named Linda Theisen vice president, quality, Six Sigma and process. Before joining Metaldyne in 2003, Theisen was vice president of purchasing for AutoAlliance International, a Mazda Motors/Ford Motor Co. joint venture.
Myra Moreland was appointed vice president, customer relations, marketing and corporate affairs. Prior to joining Metaldyne in 2003, Moreland was founder and president of Moreland Communications.
Doug Grimm was named vice president of commercial operations, Powertrain Group. Most recently, he worked as vice president and general manager of Metaldyne’s control systems division.
Dan Brinker was named vice president of sales and engineering, Chassis Group. Prior to joining Metaldyne in 1990, Brinker worked as a sales and applications engineer for LeRoy Industries and an applications engineer for NTN Bower.
Dennis Cutright was named vice president of advanced manufacturing, Chassis Group. Since joining Metaldyne in 1999, Cutright has held positions focused on quality and continuous improvement.
Tom Worswick was named vice president of advanced manufacturing, Powertrain Group. Before joining Metaldyne last January, Worswick worked as director of the metals business unit at Ligon Brothers Manufacturing.
ROBERT BOSCH CORP.
Peter Marks was appointed president and CEO of Robert Bosch Corp. following the retirement of Kurt Liedtke.
Marks has been a member of the board of management since 2002. He joined the company in 1977, working in the production engineering department in the Reutlingen, Germany, plant. In 1992, he was appointed plant manager of the company’s Anderson, S.C., facility and became plant manager of the Bosch Charleston, S.C., facility in 1995.
Prior to being named to the board of management, Marks worked as president and executive vice president of technology, Body Electronics Division.
