O’Neill named Ernst & Young managing partner

Tom O’Neil was named managing partner of Ernst & Young’s Cincinnati office. He succeeds David Hughes, who was named global director of quality and regulatory matters for the firm’s assurance and advisory business services.

“Tom’s commitment to the community, along with his proven track record in delivering quality client service, made him the clear choice to lead our Cincinnati office,” says Hughes.

O’Neil, a 24-year veteran of E&Y, has spent the last 10 years in Cincinnati. He previously worked with public and private clients across a range of industries and brings to the position an extensive background in the issues affecting technology, industrial and consumer products companies. O’Neil also served as program director for the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year Awards Program for Southern Ohio and Kentucky for nine years.

A graduate of Dayton University, O’Neil serves on the boards of the Cincinnati Flying Pig Marathon, Boys Hope-Girls Hope and the Cincinnati Art Academy.

LCA-VISION
LCA-Vision elected E. Anthony Woods chairman of the board of directors. Woods, who has served as an independent director on LCA-Vision’s board since 2004, has extensive executive and consultative experience in the health care industry. He is currently chairman of Deaconess Associations Inc., a Cincinnati-based diversified health care holding company. He previously served as president and CEO of Deaconess.

Woods also serves on the boards of Summit Diagnostics Imaging LLC, and Cincinnati Financial Corp.

GREATER CINCINNATI CONVENTION AND VISITORS BUREAU
Daniel Lincoln
was named president and CEO of the Greater Cincinnati Convention and Visitors Bureau.

Lincoln, the owner of a consulting business that specializes in the hospitality industry, assumed the post in April after serving as a consultant to the bureau for the past six months. Lincoln worked for the bureau for eight years in the 1990s before leaving to work for the Baltimore Area Convention and Visitors Association. Lincoln returned to the Cincinnati region two years ago to start his consulting firm.

A Cincinnati native, he earned a degree in public relations and journalism from The Ohio State University.

FIFTH THIRD BANCORP
John Presley
joined Fifth Third Bancorp in a strategic initiative post, where he is responsible for working with Executive Vice President Kevin Kabat to execute market banking strategies in existing and emerging markets.

Presley previously served as CFO for Marshall & Ilsley Corp., and was CFO of National Commerce Financial in Memphis, Tenn., and president and CEO of First Market Bank in Richmond, Va. He is a graduate of Rhodes College.

THINK3
Roberto Ciarloni was named chief technology officer and chief architect for the industrial design solution firm think3.

In his capacity as CTO, Ciarloni leads the company’s product architecture innovation and evolution. He also manages the geometric modeling team and advocates think3’s methodologies and approach.

Ciarloni joined think3 in 1991 and has held several key engineering positions over the past 15 years. He holds an engineering degree from the University of Bologna.

Also at think3, Anupam Asthana was named head of engineering services. Asthana is responsible for directing the company’s expanding design outsourcing business and coordinating all contract engineering projects with India operations for customers located in Europe, the United States and Japan.

Asthana graduated from IIT Mumbai with a master’s degree in engineering.

Tania Campanelli was also named think3’s new R&D director. She has been with the company for 14 years and is responsible for the research and development organization in Italy and the company’s India-based development team.

GRAYDON HEAD & RITCHEY LLP
Jill Huse
joined Graydon Head & Ritchey LLP’s Cincinnati office as marketing director.

In this capacity, Huse is responsible for integrating and implementing the strategic marketing goals for the law firm. She also serves on the firm’s Women’s Professional Development Group and Community Service Team.

A graduate of Illinois State University, Huse brings more than eight years experience in marketing, communications and graphic design. She is also active in the community with the Leukemia Lymphoma Society, Concordia Lutheran and Starshine.

Lisa Quiroz
, senior vice president — corporate responsibility of Time Warner Inc. joined the board of KnowledgeWorks Foundation, Ohio’s largest public education philanthropy.

At Time Warner, Quiroz is responsible for setting and implementing the strategic direction of Time Warner’s philanthropic efforts in education and the arts, developing all employee-based volunteer initiatives and establishing Time Warner’s new social responsibility guidelines and reporting.

KnowledgeWorks Foundation provides funding and leadership for education initiatives throughout the state and is focused on creating and improving educational opportunities.
