Parker Hannifin named Donald E. Washkewicz chairman of the board. He replaces Duane E. Collins, who retired as chairman after four years of service. Collins remains a member of the board.

Washkewicz has an undergraduate degree in mechanical engineering from Cleveland State University and an MBA from Case Western Reserve University. He has worked at Parker Hannifin for more than 30 years, holding titles including vice president – fluid connectors group, and president – hydraulics group. In 1997, he became a corporate officer, and in 2000, a member of the board.

Prior to being named chairman, Washkewicz was president and chief operating officer, and initiated a worldwide “WIN Strategy” to keep Parker Hannifin growing in motion and control markets.

He is a licensed professional engineer and a member of the National Society of Professional Engineers. Washkewicz is on the boards of the Greater Cleveland Growth Association, Cleveland Tomorrow and MAPI, as well as on the National Fluid Power Association’s Education Committee. In 2003, he received an Ellis Island Medal of Honor for outstanding contribution to Polish/Czechoslovakian communities and American society.

5iTECH

S. Sterling “Ted” McMillan joined the 5iTech board of directors.

McMillian is a principal at Greenleaf Capital Management and serves on the board of trustees for University Hospitals and on the board of directors for five Cleveland-area companies. He is a trustee of the Cleveland Museum of Art, a member of the Harvard Business Club Investment Committee and a former trustee of the American Red Cross.

5iTech specializes in commercializing technologies developed by scientists from the former Soviet Union.

PARKER HANNIFIN

Nikolas W. Vande Steeg took over Donald E. Washkewicz’s position as president and CEO at Parker Hannifin. Prior to being named president and CEO, Vande Steeg was executive vice president and chief operating officer. In August, he became a member of the board. He has been with Parker Hannifin for 34 years, serving as president of the seal group and corporate senior vice president and operating officer.

Vande Steeg is also on the boards of Trimble Navigation Ltd. of Sunnyvale, Calif., and Azusa Pacific University in Azusa, Calif.

CBIZ

CBIZ named Alan Ceepo vice president of sales for the Network Solutions Division.

Ceepo received an undergraduate degree in marketing and an MBA from the University of Toledo. Previously, he worked for Dun and Bradstreet (now D & B) in various capacities. Ceepo joins CBIZ with 16 years of experience in project management, new product development, sales and marketing. He is responsible for managing and growing the customer base and increasing revenue in his division.

MILLISOR & NOBIL CO. L.P.A.

William E. Blackie III is partnering with Millisor & Nobil Co. L.P.A. as of counsel.

Blackie began his law career as prosecutor and, later, law director in Lakewood. Blackie later opened his own practice, representing local school districts and specializing in labor negotiation matters and student/employee discipline issues. He also took on public improvement projects.

Blackie received his juris doctorate degree from The Ohio State University. He is rated AV by Martindale-Hubbell, signifying the highest professional and ethical standards.

Seth P. Briskin has joined Millisor & Nobil as an associate. His previous experience includes work with two Cleveland law firms, specializing in varied areas of employment and labor law, including equal employment opportunity law, collective bargaining and labor arbitrations. Briskin is chairman for the Cleveland Bridge Builders Association and on the boards of the Center for Employment Training and the American Jewish Committee.

NATIONAL CITY CORP.

National City promoted Jennifer Hammerlund to vice president and manager of investor relations. She has been with National City since 1999, working in the Loan Syndications Group and as a relationship manager in the Structured Finance Group. She previously was manager of the Cleveland Credit Department, where she served on a credit committee for middle-market clients.

Hammerlund’s new duties include being the primary contact for analysts, investors and shareholders, as well as working with management to communicate with the investment community.

In addition, National City named Leah A. Lass small business banking officer and vice president for the Solon branch. Lass has 15 years of experience in financial services, working for the Business Banking Group of Huntington National Bank as a vice president and senior business banker prior to joining National City.

Lass is responsible for business development of the Aurora, Chagrin Falls, Chagrin Valley and Solon branches of National City.

AXENTIS

Ken Sexton joined Axentis as CEO and chairman of the board.

Previously, he was executive vice president and CFO of Peregrine Systems Inc., where he helped restructure and recapitalize the company during bankruptcy. Prior to that, he was senior vice president and CFO of both Merant and Intersolv Inc.

In his new position, Sexton will focus on strategic business development strategies, including new corporate development initiatives.
