The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. elected Denise M. Morrison to its board of directors. Morrison is president – global sales and chief customer officer for Campbell Soup Co., where she is responsible for the company’s $7.1 billion in global sales.

Morrison joined Campbell Soup in April 2003 from Kraft Foods, where she was executive vice president and general manager of its Snacks and Confections divisions, responsible for brands including Planters nuts, Lifesavers candies and Altoids mints. Prior to that, she was senior vice president at Nabisco Inc. and general manager of the Down the Street division. Morrison joined Nabisco in 1995. Nabisco was acquired by Kraft in 2001.

Previously, she held positions with Nestle USA, Pepsi-Cola Bottling Co. and The Procter & Gamble Co.

Morrison graduated from Boston College with a bachelor of science degree in economics and psychology. She is a member of the board of directors of Ballard Power Systems, president of the New Jersey Women’s Forum and chairwoman of the advisory board for Catalyst. She is also a board member of Students in Free Enterprise.

She is one of Fortune magazine’s Most Powerful Women in Business. In 2003, she was named Executive of the Year by Snack Food & Bakery magazine and she received the Althea Gibson Beacon award for business leadership.

HALL, KISTLER & CO. LLP

Hall, Kistler & Co. promoted Mary Beth Rinehart, CPA, and Scott E. Bonvechio to supervisor positions.

Reinhart joined the firm in 1996, preparing tax returns for corporations, partnerships and individuals, and compilations reports for small businesses and credit unions. She is a member of the AICPA, OSCPA and the Institute of Management Accountants. She also sits in an advisory position in the Accounting Technology Department for Stark State College of Technology. Reinhart earned her associate of applied business degree in accounting from Stark State College of Technology.

Bonvechio began working with Hall, Kistler in 1998 and practices in the areas of auditing, and individual and corporate tax. He is a member of the OSCPA, Canton Regional Chamber of Commerce and Canton Jaycees.

Hall, Kistler also promoted Alison S. Simmons to senior accountant, and staff accountant Brian Miller earned his master’s of taxation degree from the University of Akron.

CANTON REGIONAL CHAMBER OF COMMERCE

Canton Regional Chamber of Commerce appointed Edward J. Roth III, president and CEO of Aultman Health Foundation, as chairman of the board of directors.

Roth served in top management positions for Aultman Hospital, Alliance Community Hospital and Doctors Hospital of Stark County during his career. Before being named to his current position, he was chief operating officer for Aultman Hospital.

In addition to the chamber board, Roth serves on the boards of Canton Tomorrow, Independent Hospital Network and Massillon Area Chamber of Commerce. He is a member of Health Forum of Ohio, Ohio Business Roundtable and Stark Development Board.

The chamber also named Dick Maggiore, president and CEO of Innis Maggiore Group, to the executive committee as third vice chairman. Appointed as board members are James Batchelder, president of M.K. Morse Co.; David Greenfield, publisher of The Repository and president of Copley Ohio Newspapers; Richard Jusseaume, president of Walsh University; Dean Olivieri, president of Fred Olivieri Construction Co.; and Vicky Sterling, vice president of sales and marketing for Pinnacle Press Inc.

SMITHERS SCIENTIFIC SERVICES

Smithers Scientific Services named Michael L. Bair senior manager of technical services and sales. Bair oversees new tire business development and product analysis, with a focus on business opportunities with tire manufacturers and suppliers.

Prior to joining Smithers, Bair worked for 32 years at Michelin North America, most recently as senior technical and regulatory adviser to the legal department.

KENDALL & ASSOCIATES

Kendall & Associates appointed Ron Hula director of development. Hula manages development of Big Tree Media Internet Retail Suite software, server administration, enhancements of Storefront Web sites and employee/intern supervision and training.

Hula joined Kendall in 2004. Previously, he worked as a technology consultant for multiple firms and organizations, and as an independent consultant focusing on database development, project management, server administration, Web development and performance monitoring. He began his career as a nuclear fuel management engineer for FirstEnergy Corp.

BROCKMAN, COATS, GEDELIAN & CO.

Brockman, Coats, Gedelian & Co. hired Jason F. Tuma as manager in the firm’s Business and Assurances Group. Tuma manages audit engagements, supervises staff and oversees development. He has a bachelor’s degree in business administration from The Ohio State University and 10 years of management experience.

Jessica Szydlowski joins the firm as an accounting associate in Accounting Services. She earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Akron. Janice Brennan was hired as an accounting associate in Business and Assurance Services. She earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Akron.
