Lauren International Inc. appointed Kevin E. Gray, a 22-year company veteran, as CEO. Gray assumes CEO responsibilities from founder Dale Lauren Foland, who retired in April after 40 years with the corporation. Gray previously served as president and CEO of Lauren International and as president of Edgetech IG and president of Lauren Manufacturing, a manufacturer of molded or extruded polymer solutions and gaskets.

Foland will stay involved with the company as chairman of the board.

In his new role, Gray is positioning the company for significant growth well into the future. Like other domestic manufacturers, Lauren International faces unprecedented pressure from global competitors that are entering the U.S. market at an ever-increasing rate. As an answer, Gray and his team have focused on the development of new products and services while increasing the number of value-added solutions they provide to customers.

“Acquiring new companies and products, new business concepts and markets, and recruiting top-quality employees from the local and national markets are the keys to Lauren International’s future,” says Gray.

The company sells products into numerous countries and has operations in the United States, the United Kingdom and Germany.

DIEBOLD INC.
Diebold Inc. promoted Wico van Genderen to vice president, customer business solutions. Van Genderen is responsible for leading Diebold’s U.S. sales organization for the financial industry. He assumes the responsibilities of Dennis M. Moriarty, who was appointed vice president of the Global Security division.

Van Genderen began his career with Diebold 14 years ago as a sales account executive in the mid-Atlantic area. Previously, he held management posts in global marketing, product planning and development, re-engineering and regional sales management. Recently, he held senior management positions in the eastern area as director of marketing and vice president/director of Eastern area sales.

He received a bachelor of arts degree in political science and business from Rutgers University and a master’s degree in business administration and management information systems from Drexel University. Prior to Diebold, van Genderen held sales positions at IBM.

RPM INTERNATIONAL
RPM International Inc. hired Brett Malone as senior internal auditor and Alexis Senczylo as materials analyst – purchasing.

Malone brings more than nine years of professional experience in internal audit and financial accounting to RPM. He has expertise in domestic and international financial operations, and recently served as a senior financial analyst at NACCO Industries Inc. Prior to joining NACCO, Malone spent four years as audit senior and financial analyst at Parker Hannifin Corp. Earlier in his career, he worked at KeyCorp as a corporate accountant and senior internal auditor.

Malone earned his bachelor’s degree in business administration from Cleveland State University and is a CPA. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Institute of Internal Auditors.

Senczylo joined RPM’s Purchasing Action Group as an intern in May 2004 after a stint at Tremco Inc., a subsidiary of RPM. She is pursuing a bachelor’s degree in business administration at the University of Akron.

MCCOY ASSOCIATES INC.
McCoy Associates Inc. appointed Robert J. Black, ASLA, as project manager in the division of landscape architecture.

Black has more than 23 years of design planning and land development experience in the consulting industry. Previously, he was project manager with another Northeast Ohio consulting engineering firm.

He is a registered landscape architect and a member of the American Society of Landscape Architects. Black earned his bachelor of science degree in landscape architecture from The Ohio State University.

OHIO SOCIETY OF HEALTH-SYSTEM PHARMACISTS
Stephanie Peshek, PharmD, system director of pharmacy services for Summa Health System, was installed as president of the Ohio Society of Health-System Pharmacists. Previously, Peshek chaired the legal affairs division of the organization.

“I want to obtain a higher profile for the OSHP in the Ohio state legislature,” Peshek says. “Other goals include increasing our membership and national profile, especially within the American Society of Health System Pharmacists.”

Previously, Peshek worked at Woman’s General, Huron and Hillcrest hospitals before moving to Richmond Heights Hospital, where she was director of pharmacy for seven years. She joined summa Health System In 1998.

Peshek graduated from the Ohio Northern University College of Pharmacy, and received her MBA from Cleveland State University and her doctor of pharmacy degree from Idaho State University.

KENT STATE UNIVERSITY
Kent State University hired K. Marie David as director of outreach marketing for the division of regional development. She will lead marketing activities for the division, which includes eight regional campuses throughout Northeast Ohio, continuing studies, economic development and strategic partnerships, and professional development programs with customized training and consulting for employers.

David is a marketing professional with 18 years of experience in both retail and business-to-business marketing, primarily in service industries.
