Comcast nominated Edward D. Breen as an independent director of Comcast Corp. Breen will be added to the slate of 11 incumbent directors for election at the company’s annual meeting of shareholders. Following the meeting, if all director nominees are elected, independent directors will constitute eight of 12 members of Comcast’s board.

Breen is chairman and CEO of Tyco International Ltd. He joined Tyco in 2002 after serving as president and COO of cable industry leading supplier Motorola Inc. He began working at Motorola in 2000, when General Instrument Corp., of which he was chairman, president and CEO, merged with Motorola.

Breen is a recipient of the National Cable and Telecommunications Association’s prestigious Vanguard Award in recognition of his contributions to the growth of the cable industry. He earned his bachelor of science degree from Grove City College in North Pittsburgh.

DECISIONONE CORP.

DecisionOne appointed Neal Bibeau CEO. Bibeau succeeds George De Sola in a planned transition agreed to by the board of directors.

The company filed a pre-packaged Chapter 11 plan intended to substantially reduce debt and provide a significantly stronger balance sheet.

Bibeau previously worked as chief operating officer of Focus Technologies Pharmaceutical Services, a specialty central laboratory and data management business supporting the clinical development of new anti-infective drugs. Previously, he spent 10 years at Dun & Bradstreet Corp., including five years at IMS Health, a former operating subsidiary.

Bibeau also served for several years as corporate vice president, marketing, and chief information officer for Rosenbluth International, a global travel management and business services company. As part of his tenure with Rosenbluth, Bibeau was president of the company’s online subsidiaries.

DRINKER BIDDLE & REATH

Drinker Biddle & Reath elected Alfred W. Putnam Jr. chairman. Putnam assumes principal responsibility for firm strategy and client relationships.

Putnam has won two million-dollar jury verdicts in federal commercial cases, and has tried cases in federal court and in the common pleas courts and/or orphans’ courts of Philadelphia, Bucks, Chester, Delaware, Montgomery, Northampton and York counties. He is experienced in commercial arbitration proceedings and is a fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers and a member of the American Law Institute.

He serves as president of the University of Pennsylvania Law School American Inn of Court. Putnam is also a trustee of the Lankenau Hospital, the Main Line Health System and the Jefferson Health System. He has served as secretary and general counsel to People for John Heinz and as southeastern finance chairman for Rick Santorum.

HARLEYSVILLE NATIONAL CORP.

Harleysville National Corp. appointed Gregg J. Wagner, president and chief operating officer, to president and CEO.

In addition, Michael High, who previously was executive vice president and chief financial officer, assumed the role of executive vice president and chief operating officer. High will retain the title of chief financial officer until a replacement is hired.

AON CONSULTING

Charles J. Clark is the new retirement practice leader for the Greater Philadelphia area for Aon Consulting, the human capital and management consulting organization of Aon Corp.

Clark previously served as a senior vice president with Aon’s employee benefits consulting practice, specializing in retirement consulting. In his new role, he assists clients with all aspects of employee benefits and retirement planning and focuses on monitoring proposed changes in employee benefits policy.

Clark graduated with honors from the State University of New York at Albany with a bachelor of science degree in mathematics and a minor in chemistry.

ECKERT SEAMANS CHERIN & MELLOTT LLC

Eckert Seamans Cherin & Mellott, LLC elected Stephen M. Foxman to its board of directors for a three-year term. Foxman practices corporate, real estate and securities law in the firm’s Philadelphia office.

Foxman is a member of the Philadelphia and American Bar associations. He serves as secretary of the Philadelphia Bar Association Business Law Section. He organized and was chair of the Philadelphia Bar Association’s Cyberspace and Electronic Commerce Law Committee in 1999 and 2000, and was elected to the Philadelphia Bar Association Business Law Section Executive Committee in 2002. Foxman also served on the Philadelphia Bar Association Real Property Section Executive Committee. He has been a member of the Computer Law Association since 1982.
