The Pittsburgh Technology Council and the Greater Pittsburgh CIO Group named Steven W. Agnoli, CIO of Kirkpatrick & Lockhart Nicholson Graham LLP, a Pittsburgh CIO of the Year in the global category, a designation for companies with more than 500 employees.
The CIO of the Year Awards honor technology executives who demonstrate excellent service to the community and industry, and whose planning, execution and management of information technology initiatives are marked by creativity, innovation and solid leadership. Finalists are selected by members and staff of the Greater Pittsburgh CIO Group, the Pittsburgh Technology Council, board members from both organizations and other regional technology leaders.

JUSTUS MEDICAL MALPRACTICE GROUP
JUSTUS ADR Services established the JUSTUS Medical Malpractice Group, a select panel of experienced practitioners and professional mediators, to provide mediation services for medical malpractice and other health care-related disputes. The panel is comprised of professional mediator Robert A. Creo, Louis B. Kushner of Rothman Gordon, Jacqueline O. Shogan of Thorp Reed & Armstrong and David Ward Murphy, principal of JUSTUS ADR Services. Collectively, panel members have successfully mediated dozens of medical malpractice cases involving death, catastrophic loss and permanent injury.
INTERNATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF PRIVACY PROFESSIONALS
The International Association of Privacy Professionals, the world’s foremost association for individuals in the privacy profession, elected Kimberly Gray to its board of directors. Gray is chief privacy officer for Highmark Inc. She joins industry leaders from America Online, IBM, Hewlett-Packard, Eastman Kodak, Procter & Gamble and the United States Postal Service.
Gray is also co-chair of the health care law committee of the Pennsylvania Bar Association and an active member of the Dauphin County Bar Association, the American Bar Association and American Health Lawyers Association.
HOUSTON HARBAUGH
Houston Harbaugh PC promoted Mary-Jo Rebelo to department head of the Litigation Practice Group. A director and shareholder of the firm, she concentrates her practice in the areas of commercial and business litigation and employment law.
Rebelo’s regular areas of representation include litigation involving commercial contracts, accountant malpractice, business fraud, health care litigation, directors and officers litigation and injunction actions to enforce restrictive covenants arising out of employment relationships.

Landmark Properties Group, an Allison Park-based company that develops, acquires and manages real estate throughout the United States, hired Rhea Corso to pursue leasing opportunities in its retail and office properties in Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Virginia, Ohio, Maryland and Indiana.
CORAZON CONSULTING
Jackie Johnson assumed the role of CEO of Corazon Consulting. The company’s founder, she is responsible for strategy, new business development and sales efforts. Karen Hartman took over company leadership and daily operations as president. James Burns and Susan Heck were promoted to vice president and manage the firm’s Heart Experts program. David Fuller became administrative director and Jill Fuller became to marketing manager.
ALPERN ROSENTHAL
Alpern Rosenthal, an accounting and business advisory firm, appointed Christine Izaj shareholder. The Bethel Park resident has more than 12 years of professional experience. Alpern Rosenthal also promoted Lawrence P. Barger to shareholder. Barger, who focuses on services to privately-held manufacturing and distribution companies, has more than 15 years of professional experience.
THE MILLENNIA GROUP
The Millennia Group appointed John B. Nemcek president, while Michael D’Ambrosio Sr. assumed the role of chairman and CEO. According to D’Ambrosio, the decision to restructure the executive staff is key to the company’s strategic growth. In his new role as chairman and CEO, D’Ambrosia focuses solely on market development, expansion and acquisition. As president, Nemcek oversees operations for the Millennia Group and its three operating divisions.
YANNI PARTNERS
Yanni Partners expanded employee ownership with the addition of three new shareholders to the employee ownership group. Brian Maxwell and Sean Bannon, along with chief strategist David Hammerstein are the newest shareholders. Bannon provides investment consulting services to a number of corporate, health care, municipal, Taft-Hartley and charitable accounts. He works on policy development, asset allocation modeling and risk/return analyses for clients’ diverse portfolios. He is also involved in research projects and performance attribution analyses.
Hammerstein develops the firm’s strategies, including oversight in terms of risk management, capital market assumptions, asset/liability management and portfolio attribution analytics. Prior to joining the firm in 2000, he served as treasurer and chief investment officer for Carnegie Mellon University. Maxwell provides investment consulting services for Yanni Partners clients. He develops investment policies and provides asset allocation modeling and risk/return analyses for client portfolios. Maxwell came to Yanni Partners in 1999 from Buck Consultants, where he was an investment consultant.
