Country Pure Foods

The Akron-based juice manufacturer has hired John A. Thompson as senior vice president of sales. Country Pure Foods was created in 1995 by a merger of Ohio Pure Foods of Akron and Natural Country Farms of Ellington, Conn., and is one of the country’s largest independent producers of juice products for the retail and foodservice industries.

Buckingham, Doolittle & Burroughs

Jeffrey A. Fickes has joined the Akron law firm’s Business Law, Mergers & Acquisitions and Taxation practice groups. Fickes previously worked as a corporate financial analyst for The Limited Inc.

Christina M. Royer has joined the firm’s Trusts & Estates and Litigation practice groups. She earned her law degree from the University of Akron in 2001.

Jessica Felicetty joins the client services staff of Brott Mardis & Co. Felicetty is a graduate of the University of Akron and a member of the Ohio Society of Certified Public Accountants and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.

Karen A. Guam has been hired as an associate in the firm’s Akron office. She will practice in the Labor & Employment Group. She received her law degree from the University of Akron in 2001.

All Aboard Promotions

The Akron marketing firm has appointed Bob Piks as its president and CEO. Piks will oversee the entire course of business for the organization.

Nicholas J. Reynolds has joined the CPA firm as a staff accountant. Schlabig & Associates has offices in Kent and Akron, and specializes in family-owned businesses.

Louise Kirk has joined the firm’s Akron office as an associate director. She will be responsible for managing client accounts for Saltz, Shamis & Goldfarb, the accounting, tax and business consulting division, with an emphasis in the small business sector.

Christopher Szuch has been promoted to associate director of the Akron Accounting & Auditing Department.

InfoCision Management Corp.

The Akron-based provider of marketing services has promoted Mike Herston to director of software development of the company’s IT division. Previously, Herston worked for two years as a consultant to the business.

Nanci Green has been hired as a tax associate with the Akron-based CPA firm.

Kimberly Winter has joined as an associate in the Business Assurance Services practice.

Kate M. Feeney has been hired as an associate attorney. Feeney earned her law degree from Case Western Reserve University and will focus on real estate and commercial law.

Patricia M. Ochmann has been hired as an associate attorney. She earned her law degree from the University of Akron. Her practice will focus on health care and labor and employment.

Nora J. Whitten joins the firm as an associate attorney. She graduated from the University of Akron and will focus her practice on business and corporate law.

Jeffrey Walters has been named managing partner. Walters will also serve as business unit leader for CBIZ Business Solutions of Northeast Ohio.

Lester S. Sherman, the firm’s former managing partner, will head the health care consulting practice for CBIZ.

John Phipps has been named chief financial officer. He will be responsible for financial planning and management of the Akron engineering, landscape architecture and environmental sciences firm.

Denise M. Farrell has been promoted to director of administrative services for the Twinsburg meeting planning company. Farrell joined Conferon in 1997 as research specialist, and has managed the division as research manager. She will continue to manage the department in her new role.

Jake Cassady has been hired as sales manager. Previously, he served as regional director of operations for Arlington Hospitality Management. In his new position, he will work with meeting and event planners to secure public and private functions for the facility.

Bernadette M. Genet has joined the company as manager of human resources and safety. Smithers is an independent testing, research and consulting firm serving the automotive, transportation, aerospace, plastics and medical goods industries.

Dennis Hoover has been promoted to category manager of all R.S.V.P. Food & Party Outlet stores. He is responsible for increasing sales and overseeing monthly advertisements. The Fred W. Albrecht Grocery Co. is the parent company of the R.S.V.P. chain.

Cleveland Moutry has been promoted to senior vice president, consumer/commercial loan operations. Previously, Cleveland was vice president of commercial loan operations.

Patrick J. Haberfield was promoted to vice president, credit quality. Haberfield held various banking positions before joining FirstMerit.

Michele M. Pfeifer has been promoted to vice president/retail sales manager, sales development department. Pfeifer joined FirstMerit in 1990 and has held various positions within the company, most recently assistant vice president/sales development department.

The Cuyahoga-Falls based company has appointed Larry Miner as chief technology officer. In the newly created position, Miner will spearhead InfoGrow’s expansion and deployment of custom software development capabilities.
