Byrne named Renaissance man
Richard L. Byrne, patent attorney and partner with The Webb Law Firm, was ranked with honors and named a “Renaissance Man” of Intellectual Property law by the legal directory Chambers USA America’s Leading Lawyers for Business 2004, published by Chambers and Partners Publishing, London, England, producers of world-renowned guides to the legal profession.
The Webb Law Firm, a legal practice concentrating exclusively in intellectual property, was also ranked, for the second consecutive year, in the second-highest of six categories.
Byrne is working with attorneys, through the Pennsylvania Bar Institute, to develop an educational program covering the basics of intellectual property law, for other lawyers and legal professionals. He has traveled internationally to meet with attorneys and businesses wanting to patent-protect products sold in the United States. He is also actively involved with intellectual property litigation.

According to the publishers, attorneys are profiled in the guide only if they are strongly recommended by the market. Researchers conducted more than 7,000 telephone interviews, canvassing lawyers and clients across the United States to obtain a consistent view of attorneys and firms considered leaders in their field.
KFMR
KFMR hired Michael J. Catanese as manager, information technology solutions.
Catanese is a Microsoft Certified Professional as well as a Certified Novell Administrator, and has more than 12 years of experience in information technology systems. Prior to joining KFMR, he ran his own IT consulting firm after spending several years as director of IT for Hefren-Tillotson.
He will provide a number of services to KFMR clients, including network integration, network security and administration, design and implementation of network infrastructure, troubleshooting and maintenance, ROI analysis and long-range IT planning.
KLINK & CO. INC.
Risk management consultants Klink & Co. Inc. hired Tina Tryczynski as a director. Based in both the New York and Pittsburgh offices, she will focus on conducting complex investigations and research for the firm. Prior to joining Klink & Co., Tryczynski was with the mortgage division of J.P. Morgan Chase & Co. in New Jersey.
Tracy Pastrick joined Klink & Co. Inc. as a director in its Pittsburgh office. Her focus will be on internal investigations and due diligence investigations. Prior to joining Klink & Co. Inc. Pastrick served as in-house counsel and claims administrator for ECA in Philadelphia, was a former litigation attorney with the law firm of White & Williams in Philadelphia, and worked in litigation, bankruptcy and commercial transaction at Tucker Arensberg.
