Ruflin takes helm of Parma Community General Hospital
Patricia A. Ruflin, Parma Community General Hospital’s chief operating officer for the past two years, has been named president and CEO.
Ruflin takes the position being vacated by Thomas A. Selden, who served as CEO for 13 years.
In addition to her two years as executive vice president/COO, she served Parma Hospital as its chief nursing officer for six years and as vice president of quality services for two years since joining the hospital in 1993.
A registered nurse and a certified professional of health care quality, Ruflin was a contributing author to the National Association of Healthcare Quality’s Guide to Healthcare Quality Management, 4th edition. She has a master’s degree in counseling and development from Walsh University and a bachelor’s degree in sociology from Kent State University.
