Overlooked
Do you have a section of your periodical dedicated to local dot.com news? I enjoyed the dot.com article very much. My immediate afterthoughts were:
1. What took you so long?
2. Why aren’t we in there?
When I first started with Ontimetraining.com, you published a small article about our company. Many things have changed since then. Like PlanSoft, we are a local company with national attention and Fortune 500 clients. We are also located in Streetsboro.
My point is that I feel you should print more about Northeastern Ohio’s growing dot.com presence.
According to Forrester Research, February 2000, “Business-to-business trade isn’t growing up in high- tech centers like Silicon Valley; it’s developing in industrial hubs like Cleveland and Detroit. As B2B trade expands, there will be flight of talent and venture capital money to support these efforts, leaving the coasts feeling bit of a frost — while Middle America experiences the Internet boom in 2001.”
It would be within your best interest to create a column highlighting local dot.com talent and trends. Dot.commers are growing in numbers in Northeastern Ohio. Our growth is obviously not going to be stinted anytime soon.
I am under the assumption the primary responsibility for your publication is to promote and report on business activities in Northeastern Ohio. Maybe it is time for you to wake up and smell the proverbial coffee brewing or get bypassed in the race of the information superhighway.
