Some of the most successful leaders alive will descend on the Cleveland business community Sept. 30 to share ideas, practical strategies and inspiration in what’s billed as the “Woodstock of Business.”
The single-day event will take place at PlayhouseSquare, bringing a long list of headliners to Cleveland.
“We wanted to create the energy of a rock concert,” says Josh Linkner, co-founder and chairman of FUEL. “Most business events are boring and stuffy. By crafting an agenda of unprecedented quality, the entire day will consist of back-to-back business rock stars sharing their secrets on how to maximize success.”
Speakers will include:
- David Stern, former NBA commissioner
- Guy Kawasaki, Silicon Valley superstar and former chief evangelist at Apple
- Seth Godin, entrepreneur and best-selling author
- Jackie Joyner-Kersee, three-time Olympic gold medalist track star
- Jodi Berg, president and CEO of Cleveland-based Vitamix
- Poppy Harlow, CNN anchor and award-winning journalist
- Sarah Kay, founder, co-director of Project Voice and bestselling author
- Jeffrey Hayzlett, former chief marketing officer of Kodak, bestselling author and media personality

Event organizers are promising the same energy and zeal as a music festival.
“With 12 business rock stars in an inspiring venue, this is a can’t-miss event,” Linkner says. “This lineup of leaders will likely never be on the same stage again.”
While FUEL events have been conducted in other cities, the upcoming leadership summit represents the first event in Cleveland, although it will become an annual event in Cleveland, according to conference organizers.
“Most business events of this magnitude require several days away from the office and thousands of dollars in travel expense,” says Jordan Broad, CEO and co-founder of FUEL. “In contrast, FUEL: Cleveland delivers an impactful and efficient business leadership experience that requires no travel and gets you home for dinner.”
In addition to the live event, attendees receive a free membership to FUEL: Online, a private leadership development platform containing thousands of videos, downloadable book summaries, live webinars and other high-quality leadership content. In this way, attendees enjoy year-round learning opportunities in addition to the inspiring live event.
“FUEL: Cleveland attendees will enjoy networking with the ‘who’s who’ of Cleveland’s business community and have the opportunity to connect with prospects, customers and partners,” Linkner says. “They will walk away feeling motivated and inspired. Even more importantly, they will learn hundreds of practical strategies, tools and approaches to drive immediate results in their business and career.”
