The employees at InfoCision Management Corp. have the chance to be both strong in mind and body. Thanks to President and CEO Carl Albright, employees can give their brain a workout at the training classes the company offers for employees.
If their brains are fried, they can break a sweat at one of the company’s InfoFitness Centers and get checkups at one of the InfoWellness Clinics.
In 2002, Albright created InfoCision Management Corporation University to provide employees with a clear path for advancement within the company as well as with the training and development they need to succeed at no cost and on company time.
IMCU develops and offers a wide variety of courses with the input of internal subject matter experts, so the company’s most seasoned experts may share best practices with junior employees.
Albright teaches a professional development series through IMCU that provides insight and best practices for effective communication, successful leadership traits and principles, and building and coaching a successful team. IMCU holds an average of 35 classes per month and 688 employees attended classes in 2008.
Albright also believes a happier worker is a better worker. He backed up his philosophy by investing more than a million dollars in employee health and wellness programs in the last five years.
The InfoFitness Centers are full-service, on-site fitness centers at nearly all InfoCision locations. They feature state-of-the-art equipment, private showers and lockers. The company’s full-time health and wellness coordinator is also a personal trainer available to coordinate workouts at no extra charge and instruct fitness classes. Twenty percent of employees who currently have a center at their location are members.
The InfoWellness Clinics allow employees and their family members to have on-site access to all the same services as a traditional, off-site primary care provider, including basic physicals, blood work, mole removal and stitches. In 2008, 906 employees took advantage of this health care option.
These initiatives helped keep insurance costs down, improved employee morale and attitudes, and helped the company achieve employee turnover rates that are among the lowest in the teleservices industry.
