Founded in 1999, Dorman Farrell is a full-service consulting firm that specializes in customized solutions, such as employee benefits, individual financial services, executive benefits, exit planning and corporate retirement plans. Under the leadership of founder and President Mark Dorman, the firm has grown to serve more than 400 corporate clients and hundreds of individual clients in all facets of their personal finances. Dorman Farrell’s ability to serve clients in different capacities has led to the firm’s overall success.
The Medina-based company has seen consecutive growth for the last four years. During that time period, sales increased 154 percent and employee count increased 243 percent. The firm now employs two dozen people.
Along with the firm’s record growth has been a continuous commitment to helping those in the region and especially those in Medina. Not only has that meant community service and support but also expansion of its individual financial services to help those living with daily challenges.
In addition to Dorman Farrell’s financial planning department, in 2008, the firm expanded its services to include the Michael Carter Group, an innovative financial planning firm that focuses on special needs families. The firm provides education, resources and financial solutions that encourage ongoing communication among families, caregivers and trusted advisers. The overall process allows individuals with special needs and their families to have peace of mind and to allow them to concentrate on life, not their finances.
Furthermore, Dorman Farrell’s commitment to the community is shown through its work with local charities.
The firm hosts an annual charity golf outing in which proceeds benefit local charities. In the three years that Dorman Farrell has hosted the event, it raised $65,000. Among the organizations and charities that firm associates serve are Leadership Medina County, American Red Cross, Cathy’s House, Medina County Economic Development Corp. and Hands Foundation.
