Over the past few years, iSqFt/Construction Software Technologies has kicked its community outreach services into overdrive, going from one small outreach with few supports to more than 10 fundraisers a year, four community outreach projects and the support of both employees and other area companies.
Led by CEO Dave Conway, the company believes in giving back to the community by focusing on programs that provide families and individuals with assistance that will lead to lasting and sustainable improvements. Each year, the iSqFt Community Outreach Committee evaluates and directs fundraisers and outreach activities and has designated Boys Hope Girls Hope of Cincinnati as its adopted organization. It acts as a corporate sponsor of the organization’s annual Hope Gala and provides support for the annual golf outing fundraiser that identifies gifted children who face economic barriers and offers help and hope to families looking to break the cycle of poverty.
But its contributions are not only financial; several times a year, iSqFt team members donate their time to help with home maintenance and repair.
In addition, iSqFt holds a number of fundraisers to raise money to support its philanthropic activities. Each month, it partners with a local restaurant that agrees to contribute 10 percent of purchases to the outreach program. The program has been a big success, growing in one year from four featured restaurants and one company to seven restaurants and three other businesses participating.
Other fundraisers include candy-grams in February, with 100 percent of proceeds going to the outreach program; an annual calendar with photos submitted by employees; and a flower sale, from which the proceeds are used to help pay for the Boys Hope Girls Hope graduation celebration each year.
In addition, a penny war raised more than $1,000. The employees also collected canned food to donate in November. The company offers recycling bins, which local Boy Scouts collect to support their camping activities, and employees save pull tops from cans to support the Ronald McDonald House. A giving tree also encourages employees to donate items to needy families.
