Caprio named president, Geotechnical Consultants Inc.

Geotechnical Consultants Inc. appointed David Caprio president.

Caprio has more than 25 years experience in geotechnical engineering. He came to GCI in 1991 as a project engineer and became vice president of engineering in 1998. He has extensive management and professional experience, having co-owned a geotechnical engineering company in New England.

Before joining GCI, Caprio worked for nine years with GZA GeoEnvironmental Inc. and eight years as a partner in Gordon Associates in Boston.

Caprio earned a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Tufts University and a master’s degree in civil engineering from Northeastern University.

He is an active member in the local chapter of the American Society of Civil Engineers, serving as the chapter president 2000-2001.

GCI provides a full range of soil testing and geotechnical engineering. It works with clients to help determine safe and economical systems and offer options to aid in minimizing up-front construction costs. It has worked with firms including Wendy’s Restaurants, Continental Development, Glimcher Realty Trust, AutoZone and Wal-Mart.

GCI has grown from its initial four-person operation to a regional firm with approximately 90 employees.

The Pizzuti Cos. hired Michael P. Keegan as executive vice president/treasurer.

Keegan brings more than 25 years of experience in areas such as corporate strategy, mergers and acquisitions, capital market activities, financial management, and investor and corporate relations. Before joining Pizzuti, he was a finance and accounting contractor with Bearingpoint, one of the world’s largest consulting firms.

Keegan earned his bachelor of science degree from The Ohio State University and has continued his education with an emphasis on SEC reporting, information systems and management.

Delaware County Bank and Trust Co.
Delaware County Bank and Trust Co. promoted Steve Jolliff to vice president of credit administration, compliance and collections.

Jolliff has been with the bank since 1997 and has 10 years of previous banking experience with Farm Credit System and Huntington National Bank.

Jolliff earned his bachelor’s degree in agricultural economics from The Ohio State University.

Geotechnical Consultants Inc. appointed Dan Longo chairman of the board, and he will continue to function as a project engineer.

KPMG LLP
KPMG LLP appointed John Curran local office leader of its tax practice.

Curran began with KPMG in 1984 and has more than 21 years of experience providing federal tax consulting services for corporate clients.

He earned his bachelor’s degree from The Ohio State University. He is a CPA and a member of the National Association of Manufacturers.

Conrad, Phillips & Vutech
Conrad, Phillips & Vutech hired Jim Cox as an account supervisor.

Cox previously worked with SBC Advertising for eight years and has 13 years of experience in marketing as an account executive and account supervisor. He has developed projects for clients such as Big Lots, DSW Shoe Warehouse, Time Warner Cable and the Columbus Blue Jackets.

Mills James Productions
Sean McHenry
joined Mills James Productions as a Systems Engineer in the Teleproduction Services group.

McHenry is a broadcast engineer with more than 20 years of experience, including 12 years at WCMH-TV, Columbus’ NBC affiliate.

He earned an associate’s degree in electronics technology from the DeVry Institute of Technology.

McHenry received a commendation from the Ohio Adjutant General and a citation from the Columbus Board of Education for his volunteer work with the Ohio Army National Guard.

Fifth Third Bank
Fifth Third hired Eric Clarke as relationship manager in the public funds area. He is responsible for working with nonprofit organizations to assist with their banking needs and strategies. He graduated from Ohio University and is involved with the Better Business Bureau and Employment for Seniors and serves on the Board of the Arthritis Foundation.

Anne Eckerman was named officer. Eckerman is banking center manager at The Ohio State University Hospital Banking Center. She is responsible for managing the office and its employees, as well as building rapport with surrounding community members. Eckerman earned her bachelor’s degree from The Ohio State University.

Jeremy Felix was named officer. Felix is banking center manager at the Canyon Center Branch. He is responsible for managing the office and its employees, as well as communicating and assisting the surrounding community.

Felix earned his bachelor’s degree in organizational leadership from Wright State University.

Phil Lovegrove was promoted to banking center manager for the Whitehall Bank Mart location. Lovegrove earned his bachelor’s degree in business management from Wittenberg University.

Holly Seckinger was named officer.

Seckinger is banking center manager of the Eastpointe Bank Mart. She earned her bachelor’s degree in business administration from Ohio University.
