Just over three years ago, Greg Pugh was
working as an information technology
consulting executive, and in that capacity, he saw his clients struggling with the
chaos and costs involved with providing
wireless technologies for their people.
Between cell phones, BlackBerries and
wireless laptop connections, it was getting out of hand. He
saw that the market
lacked adequate
analyses and management tools for
corporate users, so
Pugh decided to
change that.
He and a team developed a software
and services solution to help businesses
gain control of their wireless assets and
costs. Today, the company offers a range
of managed mobility solutions and services and has created a team of dedicated,
knowledgeable professionals.
Pugh started with just one customer
and limited capital, but now Integrated
Mobile Inc. serves nearly one-fourth of
the Fortune 1,000 companies, including Abercrombie & Fitch, Jostens,
Pentair, Nationwide, Stanley Works,
Miller Brewing and The Ohio State
University.
As he looks toward the future, Pugh
feels that the continued success of his
business rests in the hands of his
employees and on making sure he
finds caring, motivated people to take
care of customers. He also recognizes
how important it is to care for his
employees and makes it a point to create a great environment for them. His
efforts were rewarded last year when
Integrated Mobile received the “Best
Places to Work in Central Ohio”
award, sponsored by American City
Business Journals.
