The Citadel School of Business Administration named Steven L. Good to its advisory board. Good is chairman and CEO of Sheldon Good & Co. International LLC, a global real estate marketing firm.
Good becomes the first member from outside the Eastern seaboard to join the elite board, composed of former military officers, a former White House fellow, CEOs and civic leaders, according to Col. W. Earl Walker, founding dean at The Citadel Business School.
The Citadel Business School also invited Good to discuss leadership and ethics in business at its Leaders on Leadership Forum for graduate business students.
“Steve Good is a highly successful leader who has built and led a substantial organization with an international footprint,” says Walker. “He is energetic, well-educated and eager to help us connect with other principled leaders around the U.S. as we further develop our business school.”
Good, is a former chairman of the National Association of REALTORS Auction Forum. He also is received the “2005 REALTOR of the Year Award” from the Chicago Association of REALTORS (CAR) and is a past president of CAR. Additionally, he wrote the book, Churches, Jails, and Gold Mines: Mega-Deals from a Real Estate Maverick, featuring an afterword by Donald Trump.

Clark Consulting Inc. appointed James M. Benson to the company’s board of directors. He is president and CEO of Clark Benson.
Prior to joining Clark Benson, he was president and CEO of John Hancock Life Insurance Co. He also worked as president of MetLife’s individual business enterprise, as well as chairman, president and CEO of New England Financial and GenAmerica Financial Corp.

Exelon appointed William A. Von Hoene Jr. senior vice president and general counsel.
He joined the company in 2002 as deputy general counsel, litigation. He was promoted to senior vice president in 2004 and has worked as acting general counsel for the past year. He was previously a partner at Jenner & Block.
He is past president of the Chicago Lawyers Committee for Civil Rights Under Law Inc. He earned a bachelor’s degree from Yale University and a J.D. from the University of Chicago.
FTD GROUP INC.
Thomas M. White was appointed to the board of directors and audit committee of FTD Group Inc.
He is senior vice president, chief financial officer and treasurer of Hub Group Inc. Prior to joining the Hub Group in 2002, he was a partner with Arthur Andersen.
He earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration in accountancy from Western Michigan University and a master’s degree in industrial administration from Purdue University. He is also a CPA.

William M. Handal has been named senior vice president of Eastern store operations for Walgreen Co.
He joined the company in 1966 as a service clerk, and after graduating from pharmacy school at the University of Houston, he worked as a pharmacist and store manager at several stores in Houston. He was named a district manager in 1981 and a store operations vice president in 2000.
COLLABORATIVE LEARNING INC.
Collaborative Learning Inc. hired Emmanuel Reyes as its first chief operating officer.
Reyes has 24 years of experience in education, working as a teacher, a guidance counselor, a director of various education programs and as school administrator, most recently at Lyons Township High School. He is also a business owner with McDonald Corp. and has worked in real estate investments as part of Chase Manhattan.
GATX CORP.
The board of directors of GATX Corp. elected Deborah A. Golden vice president and general counsel. She joins the company from Midwest Generation, where she worked as vice president and general counsel. She also served as legal counsel to the governor of the state of Illinois from 2003 to 2004 and was assistant general counsel at SBC Communications Inc./Ameritech Corp. from 1997 to 2001.
She earned her J.D. from Loyola University School of Law, her MBA from Loyola University and her bachelor of arts degree from Boston College.

Scott Williams was selected division president of the MC2 Chicago office.
He joined the company in 2005 and previously worked as senior vice president. Before that, he worked for Exhibitgroup/Giltspur, where he worked in a variety of management roles, including president and general manager of Exhibitgroup/Giltspur Boston and corporate vice president of sales for the Northeast region. He also has worked in engineering and product development and is a CPA.
