National City Equity Partners names Pentecost president, CEO, chairman

Edward S. Pentecost was named president, CEO and chairman of National City Equity Partners.

“Ed brings a wealth of experience and expertise to his expanded role as leader of National City Equity Partners,” says James R. Bell III, executive vice president of risk management for National City Corp. “We are confident that we will continue the successful growth of our principal investing business with Ed’s leadership.”

Pentecost joined the company in 2000 and became president in 2005. Previously, he worked in the investment banking divisions of McDonald Investments Inc. and NatCity Investments Inc., where he focused on structuring and placing senior and subordinated debt instruments in the private and public markets. He also worked in investment banking and principal investing at National City Merchant Banking. He joined National City in 1989.

He earned a bachelor of arts degree in economics and management from Albion College and an MBA from Case Western Reserve University. He serves on the board of directors of National City Equity Partners, Penske Transportation Components LLC, BFG Supply LLC, Home Decor Holdings Inc. and Royal Baths Manufacturing Co. He is also a member of the advisory committee of Long Point Capital Inc.

Pentecost is also a board member and past president of United Cerebral Palsy of Greater Cleveland.

BARCELO HOTELS & RESORTS
Barcelo Hotels & Resorts appointed Anthony G. Stone director of sales.

He brings more than 20 years of experience in hospitality industry sales. Previously, he worked for Occidental Hotels & Resorts, where he was national director of tour and travel sales. Prior to that, he worked as vice president of sales and marketing for Marc Resorts and director of sales for Astor Hotels and Resorts. He has also held executive positions with Regal Travel and United Airlines.

ALCOA INC.
Tim Myers
was appointed vice president and general manager, commercial vehicle wheels, for Alcoa Wheel Products. He has worked for AWP for nearly a decade in a series of sales and marketing positions of increasing responsibility. He joined the company in 1991 as an automotive applications engineer.

Also at AWP, Douglas T. Dietrich was named vice president and general manager, auto wheels. Dietrich joined Alcoa in 2000 as manager, eBusiness development, in the New York office. In 2004, he was named to his most recent position as president, Latin America extrusions and global cold finished products.

ULTRA ELECTRONICS AUDIOPACK
Kenneth Pietrzycki
was named director of sales and marketing for Ultra Electronics Audiopack.

He previously worked as director of sales for Thermagon Inc. He has also worked for Johnson Controls Inc., Nalco Chemical Co. and LTV Steel Corp. He earned a bachelor of science degree in electrical engineering from The Ohio State University.

THE VIKTOR SCHRECKENGOST FOUNDATION
The Viktor Schreckengost Foundation hired Jennifer Anderson as director of merchandising.

She earned a bachelor of science degree from Tiffin University and is pursuing an MBA at Case Western Reserve University. She previously worked as a freelance consultant.

TENTH FLOOR LLC
Tenth Floor LLC hired Scott A. Moss as director of business development.

He has more than 12 years of experience in sales and marketing. He most recently worked for Easy 2 Technologies.

He earned a bachelor of science degree in marketing from Syracuse University.

CUYAHOGA COMMUNITY COLLEGE
Cuyahoga Community College named Patricia Campbell Rowell executive vice president of administration.

She comes from St. Petersburg College in Florida, where she worked as provost from 2000 to 2003 and as senior vice president of administration since 2003. Prior to that, she spent 11 years at Seminole Community College in Sanford, Fla.

STERLING GROUP
Matthew A. Mooney
was appointed to the Sterling Group advisory board. Mooney is a financial professional for the company. For six years, he has been a qualifying member of the Million Dollar Round Table, an organization whose members are the top sales professionals in the life insurance-based financial services business.

He earned a bachelor’s degree in communications from John Carroll University.

STERIS CORP.
Timothy L. Chapman
joined STERIS Corp. as senior vice president, business strategy, a newly created position.

He joins STERIS from McKinsey & Co., where he worked for more than 20 years, most recently as a director. He earned a bachelor’s degree in economics from Dartmouth College and an MBA from the Amos Tuck School at Dartmouth.

MOEN INC.
Moen Inc. appointed Allen L. Talley director, marketing and product development for the commercial division. Talley has been with Moen since 1994 and most recently worked as senior project manager in the company’s new growth markets group.

Also at Moen, Tim Millay was appointed director of commercial sales. He joins the company after 15 years with Swan Corp., where he worked as vice president of sales, national sales manager and Midwest regional manager.
