Peter McIlroy II, CEO of Robroy Industries, was selected as a finalist for the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year Awards 2005 in Upstate New York/Western Pennsylvania.

Robroy Industries was founded in 1905 by Scottish immigrant Peter McIlroy. In 1980, Peter McIlroy II was named president of Robroy Industries Inc. McIlroy is the grandson of Peter McIlroy, the founder of the company. He was named CEO in 1988 and chairman, president and CEO in 1993.

McIlroy has guided Robroy Industries through numerous changes, both internally as well as within its industry over the past 25 years. In 1995, McIlroy led a reorganization of Robroy Industries into three decentralized operating units. A public company since 1959, Robroy Industries returned to private ownership in 2001.

McIlroy has served on numerous industry organizations, including as chairman of the board of the National Electrical Manufacturers Association, the leading trade association in the United States representing the interests of electrical industry manufacturers. He has also served on the boards of several family owned businesses and has been active in the Young Presidents Organization.

Robroy Industries is a leading supplier of electrical products including PVC-coated conduit and Stahlin Non-Metallic Enclosures. The company posted 2004 sales of $78 million and a $17 million profit.

TOLLGRADE

Joseph E. Barron joined Tollgrade as vice president of strategic business development. He is responsible for growing the business through strategic partnerships and acquisitions, and for identifying new technologies and alliances that extend Tollgrade’s emerging multilayered network service assurance solutions.

THE CALLOS COS.

The Callos Cos. hired Edward C. “Ned” Sherry as vice president, client development. Sherry works to grow the Callos Outplacement and Career Transition practice. He has seven years of experience in the career transition industry. His executive background includes senior management positions with two Fortune 500 companies and stints as president of three privately owned companies.

THE RIVERS CLUB

The Rivers Club elected attorney Carl Cooper chairman of its board of governors. Cooper is chief diversity officer for Kirkpatrick & Lockhart Nicholson Graham, an international law firm with headquarters in downtown Pittsburgh.

YANNI PARTNERS INC.

James E. Gnecco joined the staff of Yanni Partners Inc. as senior consultant. Gnecco provides professional investment advisory services to a number of corporate, health care, municipal, Taft-Hartley and charitable clients; develops investment policies; and provides asset allocation modeling and risk/return analyses for Yanni Partners’ clients’ portfolios.

The firm also promoted Patrick Fisher, CFA, to senior consultant. Fisher provides investment consulting services to a number of corporate, health care, municipal, Taft-Hartley and charitable accounts.

SRI QUALITY SYSTEM REGISTRAR

Christopher H. Lake joined SRI Quality System Registrar as vice president, marketing and sales. Lake is responsible for all marketing and sales for SRI, and for development of SRI’s training division. He has a 20-year career in marketing, sales and quality that started at Motorola during its launch of Six Sigma.

MSA

The board of directors of MSA elected Douglas K. McClaine and Stephen C. Plut as vice presidents of the company. McClaine and Plut maintain their present responsibilities and reporting relationships as secretary and general counsel, and chief information officer, respectively.

ACCESS DATA CORP.

Access Data Corp. appointed Brian R. Mondics as director of its Access Managed Services business unit. Mondics is responsible for managing Access Data’s response team and hosting facility, and extending its large-enterprise customer base to small- and medium-sized businesses in the Pittsburgh area.

FSC MARKETING COMMUNICATIONS

Bryan Brunsell joined the creative services team of FSC Marketing Communications as associate creative director. He has more than 12 years of experience in the field, serving multinational and local accounts with his innovative design work. Prior to joining FSC, Brunsell built an impressive portfolio as associate creative director with design firm Brady Communications.

GSP CONSULTING

Aaron Grau joined GSP Consulting as the firm’s fifth principal, and assumes responsibility for the company’s business development in the Tampa/St. Petersburg, Fla., market.

HARVESTGOLD

Margaree Pertle joined HarvestGold as director of business development. HarvestGold is a sales consulting firm that specializes in helping sales people in developing personalized territory-level sales plans. Pertle is responsible for acquiring new clients.

INDUSTRIAL SCIENTIFIC CORP.

Industrial Scientific Corp. appointed Justin McElhattan to the newly created position of director, global operations. He is responsible for service operations around the world, and all manufacturing operations in Pittsburgh and Shanghai, China.

INDIVIDUAL FINANCIAL SERVICE INC.

Neil H. Pettes, CFS, was promoted to partner with Individual Financial Service Inc. Pettes is responsible for working with clients and maintaining client relationships, as well as creating and maintaining the overall investment philosophy of the firm.
