InterContinental Hotels Group named Mark Wells senior vice president, brand performance, the Americas.
Wells is responsible for overall brand performance, including brand strategy, sales, marketing, revenue management and hotel performance support across all seven InterContinental Hotels Group brands — InterContinental Hotels & Resorts, Crowne Plaza Hotels & Resorts, Hotel Indigo, Holiday Inn Hotels & Resorts, Holiday Inn Express, Staybridge Suites and Candlewood Suites.
Most recently, Wells was executive vice president and chief operating officer of Pegasus Solutions Inc., where he oversaw product development, service delivery, training and implementation, global reservations centers and information technology.
Prior to that, Wells served as president and COO of Utell Ltd., a subsidiary of Pegasus and provider of marketing, sales, distribution and technology services to more than 4,500 independent hotels in 30 countries. He also served as executive vice president and COO, Pegasus Hospitality Group, which operates Sterling Hotels & Resorts, Summit Hotels & Resorts, Golden Tulip Hotels & Resorts and Utell Ltd. hospitality businesses. He was responsible for the operation of each brand, reservations and distribution services and shared corporate services.
Wells has held executive-level marketing positions with major hotel companies such as Choice Hotels International and Promus Hotel Corp., the parent company of Embassy Suites, Hampton Inns and Homewood Suites. He previously worked for Holiday Inns Inc. as vice president of operations and marketing and was vice president of marketing for Days Inn and director of marketing for Doubletree Inns.
NDCHEALTH CORP.
G. Scott MacKenzie joined NDCHealth Corp. as executive vice president and general manager, pharmacy systems and services. He assumes responsibility for all functional aspects of NDCHealth’s pharmacy systems and transaction services business unit, including operations, sales and product development.
Most recently, he spent four years as vice president and general manager of providing care, a unit of Cerner Corp. In this role, he oversaw application development, packaging, sales, marketing and intellectual property creation for Cerner applications that interface with physicians, nurses, pharmacists and consumers. While at Cerner, he also held senior management positions in physician solutions and business development.
Prior to Cerner, MacKenzie held executive positions at AT&T Outsourcing Solutions, a unit of AT&T Solutions; Commercial Processing Services, a unit of GE Capital Corp.; and several senior management positions at Electronic Data Systems Corp.
MacKenzie earned a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Michigan and holds a bachelor’s degree in economics and finance from Utah State University.
J.P. TURNER & CO. LLC
J.P. Turner hired Michael Bresner as executive vice president. His primary responsibilities include operational support, broker supervision and new product development.
Bresner is the former president of National Securities, where he was also on its board of directors. He began his career with The Value Line organization, where he became the managing editor of the Value Line Special Situations Service.
NEWELL RUBBERMAID INC.
Newell Rubbermaid Inc. promoted Ray Johnson to president – global manufacturing and supply chain. In this newly created position, Johnson oversees the continued global implementation of the company’s productivity program, Newell Operational Excellence, as well as manufacturing, purchasing and distribution and transportation.
Johnson has worked in various Newell Rubbermaid divisions, including IRWIN, Rubbermaid and, most recently, the company’s global Office Products group. Prior to joining Newell Rubbermaid, he held executive and operational positions at Eaton Corp., True Temper Sports, Bic Pen Corp. and Black & Decker. Johnson holds a bachelor of arts degree in chemistry from the University of North Carolina.
Newell Rubbermaid also hired Nathaniel Milburn as vice president – global licensing. Milburn, assumes responsibility for identifying strategic licensing opportunities for Newell Rubbermaid’s brands to further develop the company’s pipeline of innovative new products.
Milburn comes from The Coca-Cola Co., where he most recently was director of North and Latin American licensing. He served a vital role in the success of its licensing program, with responsibility for more than 75 percent of the company’s worldwide licensing revenue. He holds a bachelor of arts degree in economics from The University of Tennessee Chattanooga and serves on the board of directors of the International Licensing Industry Merchandiser Association.
THE FEDERAL HOME LOAN BANK OF ATLANTA
The Federal Home Loan Bank of Atlanta named Ernest “Lee” Puschaver CFO. Puschaver oversees the Financial Risk Measurement and Modeling, Accounting Services, Risk Assessment & Control and Derivatives & Investment Operations departments.
Prior to joining the bank, Puschaver was director of finance and chief accounting officer for FleetBoston Financial Corp. Previously, he worked with PricewaterhouseCoopers, specializing in the financial services industry.
The Federal Home Loan Bank of Atlanta also promoted W. Wesley McMullan to executive vice president and director of the Financial Management Division, and Praveen Jha joined the bank as senior vice president and director of Member Sales and Trading.
