Internationally known cardiovascular researcher and cardiologist David Rosenbaum was appointed as director of the Division of Cardiology for the MetroHealth System. He also retains his position as director of the Heart & Vascular Center.
Rosenbaum, who has headed the center since 1999, has put MetroHealth on the national map as a leader in cardiovascular research.
He has been an invited guest speaker and lecturer at more than 100 national and international conferences and has presented nearly 70 abstracts and oral presentations. He has authored more than 150 publications, including 26 book chapters and editorials, and is the recipient of more than 20 honors and awards, including the 1999 Northern Ohio Live magazine award of achievement in health and medicine.
He has received more than $2 million in grants from National Institutes of Health for study of sudden cardiac death.
He is an associate professor of medicine at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine, Biomedical Engineering, Developmental Biology, Physiology and Biophysics. He received his post-doctoral training at Harvard Medical School, where he performed a clinical research fellowship in cardiology with an emphasis on cardiac electrophysiology. He received his medical degree from the University of Illinois, where he also earned a bachelor’s degree in general engineering. He completed his internship and residency in medicine at Washington University in St. Louis
LakeWest Group
Ken Morris joined LakeWest Group as president. Morris will work directly with CEO Robert Antall, who retains overall management responsibility.
Morris will be a part of the LakeWest Group management team primarily focusing on business development, managing client relationships and helping to lead the evolution of LakeWest.
He is the founder and former owner of KMG Solutions, a software company that developed and marketed business process management solutions to the retail industry. Prior to founding KMG, he was founder and president of CFT Consulting.
Chart Industries
Tom Carey was appointed president of Chart Industries’ Distribution and Storage Group.
Carey has been with Chart Industries since 1999 and previously worked for Cryogenic Services Inc. and MVE in various engineering and business management positions since 1987. Prior to that, he was employed by Airco as a field engineer in support of bulk industrial gas sales. He holds a bachelor of science degree in metallurgy from Penn State and an MBA from the University of South Florida.
U.S. Bank
Toby Rau was named senior vice president, U.S. Bank, Cleveland commercial group manager.
Rau, who has more than 12 years of financial experience, most recently worked for U.S. Bank in Louisville as a commercial relationship manager. He was involved as a board member with several community organizations in Kentucky, including Junior Achievement, the Bingham Child Guidance Center and Goodwill Industries. He holds a finance degree from Indiana University in Bloomington and is pursuing his MBA.
Yetka Management Group
Samuel Lombardo joined Yetka Management Group LLC as vice president, responsible for executive coaching and leadership development initiatives. Lombardo has nearly 10 years of experience in facilitating leadership development, with an emphasis in character development, assertiveness and inspirational leadership impacting success from corporate boardrooms to union labor halls. Prior to joining YMG, he was founder and principal of WorkLife Inc., a leadership development firm, since 1995. He also authored “Asserting Yourself Appropriately,” published by Berlett Kohler.
Atwell-Hicks
Matthew Bryant joined land development consulting firm Atwell-Hicks as a senior project engineer. Atwell-Hicks opened a Greater Cleveland location to continue working with national clients, as well as local developers.
Formerly, Bryant was a project engineer with Chagrin Falls-based Gutoskey & Associates for eight years. He also worked in Atlanta as a water resource engineer for HDR Engineering.
Bryant received his bachelor of science degree in civil engineering from Ohio University and is active with the American Society of Civil Engineers, National Society of Professional Engineers and the Ohio Society of Professional Engineers.
Buckingham, Doolittle & Burroughs
Edward Coaxum Jr. joined Buckingham, Doolittle & Burroughs as a partner. Previously, he was a principal with Graves & Horton and chair of its Commercial Practice Group.
Coaxum earned his J.D. from Boston University. He is a graduate of Williams College, where he earned his bachelor of arts degree. He is a member of the Ohio Bar and is admitted to practice in the United States District Court and the United States Court of Appeals – Sixth District. He was appointed to the Commission on Racial Fairness by Chief Justice Thomas Moyer of the Ohio Supreme Court.
Donley’s Inc.
Tom Heginbotham was promoted to vice president of estimating for Donley’s Inc., a construction management and general contracting firm. He began his career with the company in 1993 as a senior estimator and was promoted to chief estimator in 1996.
He has nearly 20 years of experience in the construction industry. Before joining Donley’s, he led estimating efforts on a number of national showpiece facilities, including the $100 million Peachtree Center in Atlanta. As part of the Donley’s team, he has supervised preconstruction work on the $45 million terminal and parking expansion to Cleveland Hopkins International Airport and more than $14 million in capital projects for MBNA.
