People Services Inc. names Doug Sibila CEO
People Services Inc. promoted Doug J. Sibila to the position of CEO. This marks the third generation of Sibilas to achieve this position. Sibila is the grandson of company founder Ray Sibila and the son of recently retired CEO Ronald Sibila, who will retain his position as chairman of the board of directors.
Doug Sibila has spent most of his life working in positions at Peoples Services Inc., ranging from laborer to driver to president. He has also worked for Andersen Consulting, now known as Accenture.
Sibila is an honors graduate of the University of Notre Dame, board member of NEOTEC and board member of the Canton Chamber of Commerce. He and his wife, Carrie, and daughters, Helen and Kate, live in Canton. He is active in civic and charitable organizations including the executive board of Buckeye Council Boy Scouts of America, Aultman Hospital, Stark Development Board and Ohio Trucking Association Board, and is a representative to the American Trucking Association for Ohio.
People Services Inc. and its affiliated companies encompass 12 locations with more than 3 million square feet of distribution space and 250 trucks in Ohio, West Virginia, Virginia, North Carolina and South Carolina. PSI specializes in logistics and supply chain solutions.
Massillon Community Hospital
Massillon Community Hospital appointed three new members to its board of directors. They are Mark Christine, co-owner of the Massillon Animal Hospital; Jeff Walters, president of CBIZ Accounting, Tax & Advisory; and Bob Yund, owner of Yund’s Car Wash & Lube.
The hospital also appointed Aruna Rao and Susan Merzweiler to the associate medical staff.
Smithers Quality Assessments
Timothy Brown was named sales manager for Smithers Quality Assessments Inc., responsible for all sales activities for the independent third-party registrar. Brown joined SQA in 2001 as project manager of business development and has a diverse background not only in sales, but in the manufacturing and food industries and governmental agencies.
Prior to SQA, he was a consultant to NASA’s Glenn Research Center in Cleveland, director of quality improvement systems for Republic Technologies International and the owner of a consulting company. He holds a bachelor of science degree in Industrial Management from the University of Akron.
The Timken Co.
The Timken Co. named Brian Walters director of heavy-duty sales. He is responsible for sales to the original equipment heavy-duty industry for Timken’s automotive division.
Walters has been with Timken for more than 25 years, serving in a variety of marketing and sales positions. Most recently, he served as manager of global business development. He graduated from Lehigh University in Bethlehem, Pa., with a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering and a master’s degree in business administration.
Buckingham, Doolittle & Burroughs
Edward Coaxum Jr. joined Buckingham, Doolittle & Burroughs as a partner. Prior to joining the firm, he was principal with Graves & Horton and chair of its Commercial Practice Group.
Coaxum earned his J.D. from Boston University and his bachelor’s degree from Williams College. He is a member of the Ohio Bar and is admitted to practice in the United States District Court and the United States Court of Appeals – Sixth District. He was also appointed to the Commission on Racial Fairness by Chief Justice Thomas Moyer of the Ohio Supreme Court.
Marketing Resources & Results
Marketing Resources & Results hired Jennifer Susa as marketing coordinator. She is responsible for providing marketing support such as copywriting, event coordination and presentation preparation. She will also help with press releases, referral networking, new client acquisition, competitive analysis, testimonials, speaker support and Internet research.
Susa, a 2004 graduate of Kent State University, received a bachelor’s degree in business administration with a focus on marketing and management. Her marketing background includes interning with the Columbus Symphony Orchestra and Center Creek Farm.
Donley’s Inc.
Tom Heginbotham was promoted to vice president of estimating for Donley’s Inc., a construction management and general contracting firm. He began his career with the company in 1993 as a senior estimator and was promoted to chief estimator in 1996.
He has nearly 20 years of experience in the construction industry. Before joining Donley’s, he led estimating efforts on national show-piece facilities including the $100 million Peachtree Center in Atlanta. As part of the Donley’s team, he has supervised preconstruction work on the $45 million terminal and parking expansion to Cleveland Hopkins International Airport and more than $14 million in capital projects for MBNA.
