NATIONAL CITY CORP.

National City Corp. promoted David Stone to executive vice president, head of corporate banking for the Central Ohio region. Stone is responsible for leading the corporate banking group, which includes oversight of risk management and achievement of the bank’s loan and deposit growth goals, as well as identifying opportunities to expand client relationships within the bank. He manages a staff of 27 commercial banking officers with a $1.2 billion loan portfolio.

According to Mike Gonsiorowski, president and CEO, National City Bank Central Region, “David’s promotion to executive vice president is a testament to his expertise and ability to successfully manage the corporate banking portfolio, our staff and our corporate relationships. He will continue to add great value as he leads our team in identifying ways in which we can better serve our clients, reduce portfolio risk, increase loan and deposit growth and further develop our business.”

Stone has more than 16 years of banking experience, including management in underwriting, business development, commercial lending and portfolio development. He earned his master’s degree in economics and his bachelor’s degree in business administration from Bowling Green State University.

 

ABERCROMBIE & FITCH

Abercrombie & Fitch named Susan Riley senior vice president and chief financial officer.

Riley most recently served as CFO of The Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York. Prior to that, she held the CFO position at the Dial Corp. and at Tambrands Inc. She’s also worked as vice president and treasurer of Colgate Palmolive.

Riley earned her bachelor’s degree from Rochester Institute of Technology. She holds an MBA from Pace University and is a CPA.

 

CALFEE, HALTER & GRISWOLD LLP

Frank LaManna joined Calfee, Halter & Griswold LLP as its executive director. LaManna joins the firm with more than 16 years of professional and management experience. He most recently served as chief operating officer and chief financial officer in Arter & Hadden LLP.

LaManna earned his business degree from Cleveland State University and is a CPA.

HUNTINGTON BANCSHARES

Thomas Hoaglin, Huntington Bancshares CEO is the new chairman of the Columbus Downtown Development Corp., succeeding E. Linn Draper, retiring chairman of American Electric Power. Draper has served as chairman of the Development Corp. since February 2002, guiding it as it worked to revitalize downtown Columbus in accordance with the strategic business plan developed in partnership with Columbus Mayor Michael Coleman.

“Downtown Columbus has benefited from the leadership of Linn Draper,” says Hoaglin. “We are grateful for his personal commitment and unwavering confidence in the future of this city. ELFORD INC.

Randy Petitt was named general superintendent for Elford Inc. Petitt shares supervision responsibilities with Dan Compton. Petitt has worked for Elford since 1991 as a superintendent. He has built relationships with many of the company’s clients through his skills as a builder and communicator.

Elford Inc. is among the top five commercial companies in Central Ohio and the company has extensive experience in construction management, general contracting, design/build and service and small project services.

 

PROGRESSIVE MEDICAL INC.

Progressive Medical Inc., a nationwide provider of worker’s compensation services, hired Jessica Harper as director of finance. Harper brings more than six years of financial expertise to the Progressive Medical team. She is responsible for all aspects of the accounting/finance departments.

CONSTRUCTION PLUS INC.

Construction Plus Inc. promoted Kimberly Koepp to director of marketing, health and safety. She will oversee marketing strategy, planning and tactics, ensuring consistency in the company’s message across all mediums. Koepp will also direct all health and safety initiatives, ensuring Construction Plus’ compliance with safety regulations.

Koepp began her career with Construction Plus in 2001 as executive administrator. She joined the firm after 18 years experience within the construction industry.
