FirstMerit named Gene Gottfried senior vice president, manager of commercial banking; Paul J. Stark, senior vice president, director of loan review; Eric J. Thompson, vice president, loan review; and Stephen Baldini, vice president, commercial banking.
William Yates, a mortgage loan originator at Unizan Bank, was recognized as the Women’s Council of Realtors Affiliate Member of the Year for 2003. He is the first male recipient of the award. Chad Johnson was appointed corporate banker in Unizan’s Northern Region, and is responsible for developing the bank’s Tuscarawas corporate banking market.

Connie Bollin was appointed director of Akron General’s Cancer Center. She has been with the hospital since 1990.
Dr. Steven Radwany, medical director of Hospice and Palliative Services and chair of the ethics committee at Summa Health System, was appointed to the Ohio Compassionate Care Task Force by Gov. Bob Taft. He will serve on the panel until March 2005.
Massillon-based HomeTown Health Network joined The Health Plan of the Upper Ohio Valley, a nonprofit community-based health plan in St. Clairsville.
Richard Fuller received the 2003 Browarsky Award of Merit at the Doctors Hospital Annual Intern and Resident Convocation Ceremonies. He has been an active member of Doctors Hospital’s medical staff since 1972.
