CEO
The City Mission

For 113 years, The City Mission has served those struggling with homelessness and/or crisis in Cleveland. One way the organization supports the Cleveland community is by offering on-site access to wraparound services for residents.

After working at The City Mission for nearly 20 years in a number of roles, Linda Uveges was appointed CEO in 2021, overseeing about 76 employees across two locations. Staff members work together across departments to provide high-quality services to residents, and in the last two years, an average of 2,432 volunteers joined with staff to serve those battling homelessness.

And to keep the organization moving forward, Uveges regularly meets with community and government leaders, board members and staff to gain perspectives on ways to build the growing City Mission.

She’s an original hire who now manages over 300 employees and leads all hiring efforts for both front-of-house and back-of-house positions.
