The company’s flagship product, Flashline Component Manager Enterprise Edition, provides the first comprehensive reusable solution that enables, promotes and measures reuse of components, Web services and other assets. Among its manufacturing clients is Cisco Systems. Cisco’s IT group uses Flashline’s CMEE to reduce duplicated development efforts.

Global Lighting Technologies, Brecksville
e-business solution: GLT manufactures display lighting solutions for small-to-large liquid crystal display screens used in cell phones, PDAs, laptop computers, desktop monitors, phones and Internet appliances. The company’s product enhances existing e-business applications by making screens easier to read.

SamePageSolutions, Wooster
e-business solution: The company’s SamePageInteractive is an adaptive solution that adapts daily to manufacturers’ specific needs. It creates global, wide-area access to a single, integrated environment where all customer-facing transactions, inquiries, activity logging, forecasting and reporting is conducted. These functions are tied together into one application and executed in real time.

LogiSync, Westlake
e-business solution: LogiSync’s embedded network control software enables manufacturers to operate machinery from any location, improve overall operations efficiency and significantly reduce costs. The company is the first tenant of Lorain County Community College’s GLIDE incubator.

item MB Kit Systems Ltd., Akron
e-business solution: item MB’s Web site allows customers to contact the company for quotes, sales orders and catalog requests, which are forwarded to its network of sales representatives and distributors. Its 450-page catalog is available for downloading and the site offers real-time video of its products in action. item MB has developed a software system that allows it to track its customer base, quotes and orders, and links it to shipping and receiving, as well as to the accounting department. The software has helped the company cut costs, and increased profits last year by more than 10 percent.

Sonic Chain LLC, Cleveland
e-business solution: The company’s Sonic Chain Buyer and Sonic Chain Supplier allow users to accelerate their material replenishment process and reduce the total purchase cost of inventory by automating and consolidating the reorder process of frequently used direct and indirect materials. Users are enabled to reorder materials at the point of demand, which results in reduced acquisition costs through better inventory management and procurement processes.

IQS, Cleveland
e-business solution: IQS develops Web-based integrated quality management software designed for manufacturers. The software is designed to integrate seamlessly with ERP systems including J.D. Edwards, Lilly Software Associates and Oracle.

VerTech LLC, Chagrin Falls
e-business solution: VerTech develops software technologies for manufacturing and transportation support. Services include development of advanced process monitoring and optimization systems to achieve quality, cost and uptime not feasible with traditional approaches. Applications include net shape manufacturing, food processing, needs analysis, system integration and automation services.
