After launching two businesses of his own, Jeffrey Smock knows that persistence is one of the essential ingredients in order to build a successful company.

In order to get his company, Iron Data Solutions LLC, off of the ground, he spent months traveling around in his Suburban with five suits hanging in his backseat, while staying at low-rent motels in order to hear one prospective client after another say no to his business proposition. He refused to give up, so he continued on his quest until he heard some yeses. This determination and drive that he has isn’t fueled by a desire to make money. Instead it is driven by a passion to fix problems that affect millions of people every day.

As president and CEO of the company, which provides data processing solutions for clients in the public sector and transportation logistics spaces, he has created a competitive business environment that promotes creative thinking and hard work. He gives his executive team the independence to make decisions and think on their own, and he also remains in direct contact with the company’s customers to ensure ultimate satisfaction.

Through Smock’s independent thinking and risk taking, Iron Data has become a successful company by looking into areas where data management can be more efficient. It also continues to pioneer ways to improve the time and cost associated with data management. Today, Iron Data operates in more than half of the counties in Georgia and handles case management documents in probate court, magistrate court, juvenile court, superior and traffic courts, and others. Smock has also led five acquisitions in the last three years, which have allowed Iron Data to expand into other government sectors, including State Disability Determination Centers.
