IDEX Corp. named Thomas F. Giordano vice president – supply chain and logistics.
Giordano has more than 25 years of experience, most recently as president of Fortune Enterprises LLC. Prior to that, he served as executive vice president, global supply chain and engineering services for APW Ltd. Earlier in his career, Giordano spent five years with Applied Power Inc. and 15 years with General Electric Medical Systems, progressing through a series of increasingly responsible managerial positions in procurement, materials management and distribution services.
EQUITY OFFICE PROPERTIES TRUST
Equity Office Properties Trust appointed Elizabeth Coronelli senior vice president – investor relations.
Prior to joining the company, Coronelli served as vice president of investor relations for General Growth Properties Inc. She has also initiated and led the investor relations program at HON Industries and served as the acting director of the Executive MBA program at the University of Iowa.
Equity Office’s former senior vice president – investor relations, Diane Morefield, was promoted to senior vice president of the company’s Chicago region in April.
MIDWEST BANC HOLDINGS INC.
James J. Giancola was appointed president, CEO and director of Midwest Banc Holdings Inc and its subsidiary Midwest Bank and Trust Co.
He replaces Brad A. Luecke, who is retiring from those positions.
Giancola brings more than 30 years of industry experience to this position. Most recently, he was president of Fifth Third Bank, Indiana. Prior to that, he was president and CEO of CNB Bancshares. Prior to CNB, he was president of Gainer Bank in Northwest Indiana.
SSA GLOBAL
SSA Global appointed Martin Ambrose global vice president of channels and business development. He previously managed SSA Global’s Asia Pacific and Japan operations as regional president.
His responsibilities include managing existing partnerships and channel relationships as well as signing new agreements in efforts to expand into new geographical regions and industry segments. Ambrose’s more than nine years with SSA Global includes positions in global marketing, where he developed product strategies based on input from customers, field sales staff and industry analysts.
Prior to working for SSA Global, Ambrose had enterprise software experience serving in business development, technical, consulting and sales management jobs at JBA Canada, JBA UK and RTS.
GE HEALTHCARE FINANCIAL SERVICES
Jeffrey A. Malehorn was named president and CEO of GE Healthcare Financial Services, a business unit of GE Commercial Finance. Malehorn is an experienced global leader who has spent the majority of his career growing financial services businesses.
Before assuming his new role, he was president and CEO of GE Commercial Finance’s Global Financial Restructuring business based primarily in Tokyo.
A 20-year GE veteran, Malehorn led GE Real Estate’s European business for three years based in Paris. He also has held positions in risk, portfolio and operations management as well as in business development and process improvement. His business experience includes corporate finance and equipment leasing.
ENESCO INC.
Enesco Group Inc. appointed Cynthia Passmore-McLaughlin president. George Ditomassi, an Enesco board member and former chairman and CEO of the Milton Bradley Co., will continue as interim CEO.
Most recently, Passmore-McLaughlin was senior vice president of customer marketing and retail design for Revlon Inc. Prior positions with Revlon include as senior vice president – customer business management, while concurrently serving as general manager of Revlon Canada. She started her career in the marketing function in Procter & Gamble’s beauty division and later worked at the Clairol Corp., a division of Bristol-Myers Squibb.
MERISANT WORLDWIDE
Merisant Worldwide named Paul Block president and COO and Anne Linsdau executive vice president, communications and human resources. Both will join the company’s governance committee.
Block has served as president and CEO of Sara Lee’s U.S. Coffee and Tea division and as vice president and CMO at Allied Domecq Spirits and Wine.
With more than 20 years of experience in human resources, change management, Linsdau most recently served as senior vice president at Spiegel Inc. and has held senior positions in human resources at Fortune Brands, RR Donnelly, BE&K and Allied-Signal Corp.
McDonald’s recognizes Burrell’s contributions
Tom Burrell, founder and chairman emeritus of one of the nation’s leading African-American-owned full-service communications agencies, received the prestigious McDonald’s 365Black Award. Developed in 2003, McDonald’s 365Black Awards are part of the company’s 365Black initiative, which recognizes the contributions and accomplishments of African-Americans year-round.
Burrell received the honor at McDonald’s Second Annual 365Black Awards Gala: An Evening of Legends & Legacies. McDonald’s 365Black Awards also went to McDonald’s owner/operator Reggie Webb and the Rev. Jesse L. Jackson Sr.
“Burrell is the agency it is today because of McDonald’s and other companies that had the foresight to see the value of target marketing long before it became trendy,” Burrell said. “McDonald’s took the lead, and other progressive companies followed.”
Burrell’s advertising career began as a copywriter with Wade Advertising. He moved to Leo Burnett, Foote Cone & Belding in London, and Needham Harper & Steers before starting his own agency in 1971. He has received numerous awards, including the Albert Lasker Award for Lifetime Achievement in Advertising, University of Missouri School of Journalism Medal for Distinguished Service and Public Relations Society of America Silver Anvil.
