Randall Rabe has been named president of Employee Benefit Management Corp. of Dublin. Rabe takes over the position held by company co-founder Tom Jack, who will continue as chairman. Rabe, a board member of Employee Benefit Management Corp., has served as the company’s outside legal counsel since 1988 as a partner with the law firm of Baker & Hostetler.

James G. Carswell III, COO of The Wallick Cos., has also been named to the position of CEO. Carswell assumes the position from Sanford “Sandy” Goldston, who remains chairman of the Reynoldsburg company. Goldston explained that Carswell’s appointment to CEO was the next logical step in the company’s succession planning.

Kenneth T. Stevens has joined Gerbig, Snell/Weisheimer & Associates Inc. as president and COO. Stevens, formerly chairman and CEO of the Bank One Retail Group, will be responsible for operations of the marketing communications firm. Also at GSW, Amy Erbskorn has been named senior vice president and will be responsible for leading several global and U.S. pharmaceutical account teams.

Judith D. Levine, a partner with the Columbus office of Arter & Hadden LLP, has been elected to serve on the board of directors of the National Network of Commercial Real Estate Women. Levine focuses her law practice on commercial real estate, including acquisitions, dispositions, financing, development and tax abatement issues.

Metatec International Inc. has named Christopher A. Munro as its COO. Munro will also serve as a member of Metatec’s Executive Committee participating in decisions relating to operations, capital expenditures and major tactical and strategic developments. Prior to joining Metatec, Munro held a variety of manager and director positions in the logistics industry in Scotland and England.

Donatos Pizza has named Daniel N. March its new CFO. March spent 15 years with McDonald’s Corp. in a variety of accounting and financial positions both domestically and internationally before joining Donatos in October 1999. McDonald’s Corp. acquired Donatos in July 1999.

LifeServers Inc., a Dublin-based provider of automated external defibrillators, has hired Alison Reifers as a partner and vice president of sales. Reifers will be responsible for recruiting and managing LifeServer’s Ohio sales force and helping to drive the company into new vertical markets.

Crane Plastics Siding LLC has hired James Ziminski as vice president of sales and marketing. Ziminski is responsible for direct global sales and marketing activities for Crane Siding and is leading an initiative to build awareness for the company’s siding products among builders, remodelers and homeowners.

Thomas Houle has been promoted to vice president and national sales manager for Nationwide Retirement Solutions, the Nationwide Financial subsidiary that provides supplemental, employer-sponsored retirement plans for the public sector and nonprofit and educational markets. Houle has held several management and leadership positions in his 20 years with Nationwide, most recently serving as director of new product implementation.

James E. Newton has been named center director of the Keller Graduate School of Management in Columbus. As director, he will oversee the working adult-oriented graduate school that opened last year. Newton previously was an economics professor at Franklin University for 12 years.

Tony Dudzik has been promoted to the position of vice president of corporate services at Swan Cleaners. An employee of the company since 1988, Dudzik will oversee the marketing and purchasing departments and administer the corporate office functions.

James E.P. Sisto, former deputy director of the Ohio Department of Development, has joined Squire, Sanders & Dempsey LLP as an attorney in the Columbus office’s international practice group. Sisto most recently was responsible for the Department of Development’s International Trade Division.
