Richard Stanbaugh has become a pioneer through his ideas on the integration of communication and security products for the business world. But even with this eye for technology, the president and CEO of ANXeBusiness still sees the value in good old-fashioned face-to-face communication.

It’s why he once removed all of the large cabinets from an office where he had been assigned so that his employees could see each other and feel more comfortable seeking each other out for help.

ANXeBusiness helps smaller companies comply with the service levels and delivery requirements of larger companies and he uses all of his employees to do it. He has a dry erase board in his office that he uses frequently to map out new ideas and suggestions.

He looks for people who want a career and want to be part of the growth of his company. When employees live up to those expectations, he rewards them based on what they earned through their efforts.

Stanbaugh knows how important his employees are in helping him to not only keep up with the competition but also to stay ahead of it and constantly be thinking of ideas that never occurred to others in his industry.

But it’s not all business. Stanbaugh gives employees free use of a gym and pays for their families to use it, as well. This helped his entire work force lose 10 percent of their collective weight during a recent “Biggest Loser” competition.

And Stanbaugh keeps his own energy up by detaching from work completely when he takes vacation. He enjoys flying his plane and taking his family on trips that are both fun and enriching.

On one trip to Mexico, his children learned Spanish themselves and then taught English to Spanish orphans. This personifies his style of both leading and helping others.
