So you’re one of those people who leases a new car every two years, just to have the latest thing?
Sorry, but Randy Geller has you beat. Geller, who owns two car dealerships, Geller of Akron and Geller Automotive in Medina, not only drives a new car every month, but depending on his plans, he’ll pick up a new car just for the evening.
Geller, who says it’s all in the name of business, will choose a new car “if I’m going somewhere where I think there’ll be interested customers.” If the car is going to be valet-parked in front of Piatto, for instance, he’ll choose something he thinks will catch the eye of that clientele. He might switch to something a little more upscale if he’s parking on West 6th Street in Cleveland.
So, what’s he been driving lately?
“Personally, I like convertibles,” he told us.
Some of his recent favorites include a 2000 Toyota MR2 Spyder, a 2001 Audi TT and a 2000 Mercedes 500 SL (all convertibles). When we spoke in September, though, he had traded in the convertible for a 1999 Mercedes CL600 coupe.
It’s a tough job, but someone’s got to do it …
