Sales Tip 315
Pleasantly persistent!
Remember when you wanted to use the car on Friday night after you got your driver’s license and you were told no but you really didn’t hear no? You heard not now, so you became pleasantly persistent (not pushy) and extremely creative in your pursuit to be able to use the car.
In other words, you did not give up at the first sign of resistance. I’m sure it made several pleasantly persistent attempts before you were able to have use of the car.
The same approach applies to the sales process. You must be pleasantly persistent and creative during your pursuit to earn their business. Do not give up at the first sign of resistance. You will get a “no” a minimum of three to five times before you get a “yes.”
Remain pleasantly persistent and not pushy.
