ELI LILLY AND COMPANY

Sir John Rose, CEO of Rolls-Royce Group plc, will join the board of the pharmaceutical giant, effective Dec. 1. He was appointed CEO of Rolls-Royce in 1996. During his stewardship, Rolls-Royce enjoyed strong corporate performance, including maintaining or establishing market leadership in its key lines of business. Rose was elected to the Rolls-Royce’s board of directors in 1992 and has served in various leadership positions with the company. Lilly CEO Sidney Taurel said Sir John’s background, skills and experience will play an important role as the company prepares for a new era of strong growth.

 

HILLENBRAND INDUSTRIES

Kimberly K. Dennis was named vice president, corporate services. She will report to President and CEO Frederick Rockwood. Dennis is responsible for directing the information technology infrastructure, travel services, administrative services, graphic communications, aviation operations and customer visitation guest facilities. She joined Batesville Casket Co.’s finance organization in 1989 and has held positions of increasing responsibility in finance, planning, operations, and logistics and information technology. She was the principal architect of Batesville Casket’s regional distribution center network and director and project leader of its enterprise resource planning project. She most recently served as vice president, business information systems for Batesville Casket.

 

ZIMMER

Ray Elliott, chairman, president and CEO of Zimmer Holdings Inc., has beeen elecetd an ex-officio member of the board of the American Swiss Foundation. Elliott will stand for election as a full member of the board at the winter annual meeting. He has been president of Zimmer since 1997 and has served on more than 15 boards in North America, Europe and Japan. The American Swiss Foundation was created in 1945 to preserve and strengthen the historic friendship between the United States and Switzerland. A private, nonprofit organization, it has traditionally focused on critical issues between the countries, and the development, education and exchange of young leaders.

 

THE FINISH LINE

John Dickkut, Al Goizueta, Mark Kirby and Mark Lallathin have been named regional vice presidents of the athletic apparel retailer. Dickkut previously served as a regional manager and has been employed by The Finish Line since 1992. Previously, Dickkut was employed with a national athletic retailer and has more than 20 years of retail experience. Goizueta previously served as a regional manager and has been employed by The Finish Line since 1998. He previously was employed by a national athletic retailer and has more than 13 years of retail experience. Kirby joined the company in February 2003 as a regional manager and has been in the retail industry for more than 20 years, serving in a number of capacities. Lallathin previously served as a regional manager and has been with The Finish Line since 1986. Lallathin has more than 24 years in retail experience, most served in retail athletics.
