Journalist Advocate

Steve Czetli has devoted his 23-year career to writing about business. Now, he owns one himself, but he’s still writing about others.

Recognizing the importance of e-mail as a medium to communicate business news and information, the veteran business journalist launched TechyVent in 2001, an electronic magazine that distributes small business news to the public.

Czetli began his career when he moved to Greensburg from Philadelphia to take the editor’s job at Pennsylvania Economy, a statewide weekly tabloid dedicated to small business statewide. In 1983, he landed the editor’s post at the Pittsburgh Business Times, and in 1986, was recruited to reorganize the business desk at the Pittsburgh Press.

In 1992, he took over active management of Editor’s Aide Inc., which specialized in the design and management of periodicals. Its largest client was the Pittsburgh Technology Council, for which it helped design, implement and manage several publications, including T.E.Q. Magazine.
