Robert Kampmeinert

What has Robert Kampmeinert accomplished in his career as an investment banker?

For starters, he has led Parker/Hunter Corp. to become the largest independent investments and investment banking firm in Pennsylvania.

Parker/Hunter, a full-service stock brokerage and investment banking firm headquartered in Pittsburgh, employs 310 people in 21 offices throughout Pennsylvania, Ohio and West Virginia. Its investment professionals have completed more than $16 billion in merger and acquisition transactions during their careers with Parker/Hunter and other Wall Street investment banks.

And the company has managed or co-managed more than $500 million in common stock offerings and placed $1 billion in private capital investments.

Kampmeinert joined Parker/Hunter in 1971 to head its investment banking department. In 1985, he was named its CEO, and in 1991, he added the title of chairman.

A former member of the board of the Securities Industry Association, Kampmeinert chairs the nominating committee of the New York Stock Exchange. His business experience has earned him seats on the boards of Tollgrade Communications Inc. and Vascor Inc.

On the civic front, he serves on the boards of West Penn Allegheny Health Hospital, Chatham College, the Pittsburgh Regional Alliance and the Pennsylvania Economy League.

For Kampmeinert, Parker/Hunter’s success is based on a simple principle: “If we do what is right for our clients, the rest will fall in place.” How to reach: Parker/Hunter Corp., www.parkerhunter.com
