The Service Corp. of Retired Executives (SCORE) offers a prebusiness workshop each month to help start-up businesses, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., with registration beginning at 7:30 a.m. Cost of the workshop, held at the Library Center of Point Park College and the Carnegie Library, downtown, is $60 with advance registration, $65 at the door. Group registration allows additional members of a group to pay a discounted rate of $40 each. SCORE is a nonprofit association of retired business executives who volunteer their time and experiences to providing free and confidential counseling to small businesses.
