Shauna Soom has been appointed program manager of the ATHENA Powerlink program at Seton Hill College’s National Education Center for Women in Business.
In her new position, Soom is responsible for the coordination of ATHENA PowerLink, which connects women entrepreneurs to a network of advisers. Her role includes management of the continued rollout of the Westmoreland County PowerLink initiative, as well as its expansion into Fayette, Washington and Greene counties.
PowerLink strives to overcome the financial obstacles women business owners face by linking their business with a free panel of professionals tailored to fit the specific needs of their enterprise. The advisory panel helps women-owned businesses meet their identified growth goals, which may include enhancement of their networking techniques, access to capital and implementation of best practices.
