It takes more than just being at the right place at the right time and being knowledgeable about the product or service you are providing. You also will need a positive attitude that will impact your outcome. You may have heard me say in an earlier tip that “Whether you think you can or you can’t, you are absolutely correct.”
The second thing you will need is the correct approach that will position you as a trusted adviser and not just another salesperson trying to make a sale. That approach is Active Listening and Asking Questions (not telling and talking) so you can provide a customized solution.
