It’s no small task to develop products and solutions to solve the world’s biggest challenges — and Rockwell Automation, the world’s largest company dedicated to industrial automation and information, knows it well.
This challenging task provides an opportunity for Rockwell to connect veterans and transitioning military personnel with promising job opportunities. The company is committed to recruiting and developing veterans who bring their unique military expertise to a global company whose innovations help its customers improve how they operate and develop quality products.
Rockwell is honored to have military veterans continue their career with the company. Many companies have found that veterans are often more prepared to step into an open position and be successful than the general population — whether it be their job-specific training, soft skills or leadership traits.
Group focus on recruiting
Building on its strong commitment to military veteran recruitment and development, the company recently launched the Rockwell Automation Military Veteran Employee Resource Group. The group’s mission is to leverage Rockwell employees who are armed forces members in the National Guard or Reserves to help recruit, transition and support current and future employees who also have a military background and provide a platform for employees to learn more about armed forces veterans.
Rockwell employs more than 2,000 people in Greater Cleveland and serves customers in more than 80 countries. The company is also Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve certified. This certification demonstrates Rockwell’s commitment to its National Guard and Reserve employees through supporting events and offering consideration for applicants from these areas of the military.
The company has implemented corporate policy to provide additional support to its National Guard and Reserve employees, often paid, for those who are actively deployed or participate in a reserve program.
In addition to internal programs for the military community, Rockwell Automation collaborates with many organizations and vendors. One example is Hiring Our Heroes, a U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation program launched in 2011. Rockwell Automation is a strategic partner and active participant of the program, which is designed to help veterans and military spouses find meaningful employment throughout the U.S.
Outreach at job fairs
Recently, Rockwell participated in a Cleveland Hiring Our Heroes event and successfully hired two military veterans for the Twinsburg facility.
The company also provides support at job fairs in collaboration with military branches of service and various veteran organizations.
Rockwell Automation is honored to have military veterans continue their careers with us, working together to improve the standard of living for everyone by making the world more productive and sustainable.
